Classy move, respect.

I have zero ill feelings toward DK, in fact, I'm really happy for him. His potential was never going to be fully realized here in Seattle, we're just going in a different direction. And I will never slight someone for making a career decision that is best for themselves and their financial future.

Now, if only DangerPuss could have shown this much class when he departed..

I didn't ever have any bad feelings about DK either. He's a stud. Sucks losing him. Easier to take having JSN and not doling out the $150M when the team is in this position. Feel a bit bad he went to Pittsburgh though.

Well aside from his football personality the farewell was classy !

Good Luck DK, you could be All Pro if you learned to use your hands and catch away from your body.

Thank you DK for your contributions to the hawks! I don't have ill feelings but I suspect we won't miss him much. He wasn't as good as he thought he was. His biggest asset was drawing coverage to help others get open. I dont think he drew extra coverage based solely on his skill, I think because of our scheme and his attitude we forced the ball to him causing teams to have to shift coverage knowing the ball was going his way. I didn't view him as our #1, he was #2 to Lockett and I believe JSN will have a better career and is already a more well rounded and talented receiver.
I wouldn't say DK will regret getting 150mil but I think he will be unhappy in pissburg and will have a worse trajectory to his career than if he would have stayed in Seattle.
I never cheer for the stealers or their players so I hope and believe he has a terrible career moving forward and is a negative addition for the team.

Classiest exit in a while! I wanted to keep him for a year and see how he did under the new regime but - hey -

I don't particularly like that he went to the Stealers - but at least it's NOT divisional! And NOT the Packers! Those two options would have sucked ass.

I wish him the best. Maybe the schemes were the problem/maybe they weren't. Stealers can just suck it tho.

I was pumped to see what the Kubiak offense would look like this year with Geno and DK. Thought they were perfect fits. Wish him the best though, one of the best to wear the Hawks uniform

I’ve always like DK and will always like DK.

On a sheer mainstream business marketing level for the NFL and the Seahawks, this guy, was absolutely fantastic!

I get it, though! Get all the money when you can as a player!

Remember what Marshawn said, “Protect yo chicken!”

DK, will always be a Seahawk to me!

Not sure how much of that he actually meant since he requested a trade to chase more money while still under contract.
If your working someplace and you find out the department your in is changing over to a new method and your co works are leaving, they say there will be some growing pains going forward as in maybe raises and bonuses diminished or not available, do you stay or do you look around for a better situation. He looked and found one.

what raises and bonuses? He had a year left on his contract.

He also didn't really look for a better situation, he requested a trade and had no input on where he would land. The only thing better about his situation now is the money, which is why I kind of roll my eyes at the farewell.

Mannnnn. When GB was mentioned in the trade talks, I was like ‘Yikes’.

I can see it now…Riq watching DK blow right by him for a 60 yard TD.

Great player, great competitor, and even greater person. He'll be missed. I'm still frustrated we traded our best receiver since Largent for peanuts, but I have no hard feelings toward DK and I hope he kills it in Pittsburgh. Won't surprise me when he finds himself regularly in the All-Pro discussion.

He was the first one to request a trade. Lol. Tyler got let go, but that was known to everybody.

Give DK some time and he'll say something nasty about Seattle along with complaining about his current situation in Pittsburgh. It's just who he is.

Was thinking the same thing, but I blast Geno enough. I'm sure some excuses will roll out for him though. Like when he rolls out and throws a pick in the red zone.
Sorry Pitt, but DK isn't the anti-Christ you him out to be. Just like Geno isn't the selfless leader that many made him out to be.
And that's ok.

I'm just curious as to who's going to be throwing that pass.

Also couldn't help noticing:
DK - wrote nice letter thanking fans
Lockett - wrote nice letter thanking fans
Geno - ain't write back

Especially considering that Seattle gave him his second chance, and offered him (reportedly) a pretty nice contract

Seems odd for sure
