So happy for Polanco on paternity (the dude can't just tell the kid he was doing something more important like playing a damn baseball game?!) and Cal the .300 hitters new deal.

Our SS/2B combo is looking really impressive with a combined .071 BA.

But don't worry Ryan Rowland Smith will have another 20,000 word, 20 minute segment about how "theres too much talent" on this team to be playing this way.
This roster is clearly short on Major League talent

Same....sh**....every.....single.....year

So sick of it. For the first time in my life I can honestly say I'm losing interest in even watching. Better things to do with my time than watch them lose, over and over again.

Almost every pundit I listened to spoke of the importance of the Mariners having a good start to the season, as both the opponents they faced and the home and away schedule favored them. They all said just the opposite about the end of the season schedule. And to top it off, they're coming off two disappointing seasons and off seasons in a row after a promising 2022 season that's left the fan base very frustrated with the organization. Even the local sportswriters and pundits who weren't directly tied to the organization were letting the organization hear it loud and clear this past off season.

As a once fairly dedicated fan, I made up my mind this year to only look at the box scores, standings, articles, and highlights/lowlights until they proved to me they were true competitors for the division title at the all-star break, not some team just barely hanging on to a playoff hope.

So we'll see...

I've been thick and thin with this team since 77, but for the first time, I'm legit losing interest in even watching.
I'm right there with you. I was born in 82 though. We have had season tickets for both Mariners and Seahawks since inauguration and for the first time I am struggling to care or get excited about the Mariners. And we have been through a lot of bad years as Seattle fans.

New season, same issues. Most everyone was blaming Servais last season and ended up being the scapegoat. Until DiPoto is gone nothing will change.
DiBozo the 🤡 is absolutely 100% of the problem. Don't blame ownership. Tampa has half the payroll every year & are always better. Since the 🤡 arrived in Seattle, Tampa has a World Series appearance & at least one other appearance in the ALCS. Seattle with double the payroll has ZERO appearances in any meaningful Post Season baseball. This is his roster. He cobbled together all these utility players & strikeout artists. This is the same basic roster from the last 3-4 years, all coming up short in wins. All struggling to hit in Seattle, while being simply average on the road. All leading the league in whiffs. Always trying to plug someone into a position they don't play. Jerry is that guy around the workplace who is always flashing the phony smile at everyone, so everyone is blinded by how bad he is at his job. He is an absolute disaster. Until there is a magical influx of actual baseball talent onto this roster, it's gonna be continuous mediocrity & more home games over early when the other team takes a two run lead.

I'd thought your skin was thicker than this to let early season get to you.

Usually, it is. I can't explain it; I just am not feeling it this year. Beaten down too many years in a row. Nothing ever changes with this team. Ever.
Will probably change later, but I just don't see any reason for optimism. This is the exact same team every single season.
Good pitching, crap hitting. Over and over and over and over again.

Take the L dude, they're up 3-2, scored 3 on a Cy Young winner. Pretty solid for having "NO CHANCE"

Let me guess, you're bummed they're ahead?

Ok for one, EVERYONE said they were in trouble today. So AGAIN, tell us HOW the M's looked good offensively today? They didn't. A defensive mistake & ROBLES a Non-Mariner Mariner, jumped on a pitch. Other than that, Skrubal with not even his best stuff, mowed them down. So NO, they haven't fixed anything.

Get over yourself. Go put your pacifier in. They're up 3-2 in the game they were supposed to lose. This is a good thing.
It's ok to be wrong when your team wins. If they're even your team.
Dude gave up a HR to Dylan f'ing Moore  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

He didn't mow them down. But The Rock sure did for the M's.
We shouldn't be surprised the M's are playing like this today. They've done it plenty over the years. Lose to a crap pitcher, then go beat a great pitcher. They made zero sense. Still would be nice win today. Even if you can't man up and admit you were wrong.

NO CHANCE. How adorable.

I've already said TODAY that I'm having a hard time even watching them this year. But, here I am.......watching them 🍺 🤯

They are my team guy. I don't have to sit & pretend like they're amazing just because they got LUCKY in ONE game. This team is not very good. They have problems at 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, DH, bullpen with all the injuries & they absolutely cannot hit in Seattle. But you think they're amazing. Ok great. Unlike you, I actually get tired of being the ONLY franchise without a World Series appearance. And Julio is the easiest guy in the league to get out, besides Garver.

Castillo was on his game for a 7 inning QS. Munoz was off his game but got the final K with the bags packed.

Nail biter, but a win. (y)
