Dallas has no secondary. Playing prevent wouldn't have done anything more but keep a pass rusher on the sideline.

Rushing the QB was the only chance for Dallas IMO. If I were them, I think they should have rushed one extra guy.

Dallas failed to play prevent and got beat.
Nope. Their idea is to rush 4 was a good one. Their problem wasn't scheme its talent. They have one of the worst secondarys in the league, THAT is the reason they lost on defense.

What part of that game I saw Dallas had no defense for anything.

I figured that must be the case when Romo throws for 500 yards and they lose.

The Stafford TD at the end was one of the coolest and most ballsy individual plays I've ever seen.

Playing prevent is where the DBs stay deeper than the receivers, even back up DBs can do that. But to let Durham get deep? Pathetic. The only wr talent Detroit has is Calvin and he can beat anybody's dbs. The rest are very average and they showed it today.

Dallas had very poor coaching, how else do you hold Detroit to 7 points for 3 quarters then give up 24? 40 of Durham 54 yards came on one pass, there's a reason we cut him. Dallas forgot to play prevent, and it got them beat.

Durham is slow. No reason he should burn a CB. Is absurd to think prevent would have kept Detroit from winning with that Dallas secondary.

He only threw for 208 yards, the defense did their part by getting 4 turn overs.

People complain when the Seahawks play prevent, but there is a reason for that, and it's why we are 6-1 :th2thumbs:

You are correct, Durham is slow, so if Dallas would have been in prevent, there is no way he could have gotten past the db.

But it also gives the QB more time to throw and find a different WR is Durham was covered. One extra crappy DB in coverage won't win a game.

I agree. That was damn impressive. And pretty brilliant, honestly.

That was a smart move on his part. He said the linebackers were standing around...

As long as jerruh owns the cowboys they will never succeed.

Sorry, I was talking about a couple of weeks ago when he threw for 506 yards and they lost. That's pretty bad.

I think Dallas safeties were trying to cheat on Calvin Johnson side, they forgot the other receivers. Nobody would have thought that Stafford would throw that ball to anyone other than Megatron. They basically dared him to throw to Durham and he did and it was a perfect throw.
Dallas got beaten by a perfect throw. Sometimes, someone just makes a better play and Stafford made some excellent read and throw.
The real question should be to Jason Garrett about time management. How did they leave enough time on the clock for the offense to even run so many plays?
