We're going to be repeatedly glazed in the media for two weeks. I would hope we're well coached enough for the team to not fall into the trap of thinking this is going to be easy. They wouldn't be the first to become victims of their own hype. Keep in mind, the underdog has won four of the past five Super Bowls.
We DID do the same thing when the tables were turned. No one in the media gave us any chance to stop the high flying best offense of all time led by possibly the greatest QB of all time. We all had a different perspective.
I haven't watched a single Patriots play this year. But for Maye to be in the MVP conversation at all, and their defense finished #2 in scoring D....they must have something going for them.
Whatever happens, I think the Seahawks are disciplined enough not to listen to their own press, and not to overlook their Super Bowl opponent.
