This move was in waiting since the Seahawks brought in Clint Hurtt last offseason. The pass rush was severely lacking or inconsistent the past few years.
To clarify ...... the Travis Jones announcement.
Travis Jones ran into a medical issue during the 2016 season. He missed a flight with the team because of it and was subsequently banned from the field for medical reasons. Subsequently, the Seahawks created a position for Jones as "Senior Defensive Assistant" for the balance of the 2016 season as well as the entirety of the 2017 season. Clint Hurtt was hire last year as Jones replacement.
The Seahawks did right by Jones. I wish Travis Jones good health and all best. He was a good defensive line coach and a positive influence.
