Unless your the one getting cut, then I'm sure it's pretty painful.

True, but these guys also are not idiots. Most of these guys have to honestly know they have no shot, especially at positions where there is just no room for them. Very few guys are going to be blindsided in this first wave.

Uh oh, kearly is going to be upset.

8)

Wilkins hasn't looked roster worthy, not even PS worthy. He hasn't been bad, but our roster standards are sky high right now and we look loaded at LB. I was thinking about doing a 75 man prediction thread before deciding it was a waste of time. Had I done it though, Wilkins would have been among my cuts.

I would guess that Wilkins saw maybe 20 snaps in the preseason. If he played that little, he probably didn't stand out in practices either.

Out of curiosity, what's the date we have to be at 53?

The very first post in the forum is a sticky that has all the dates. I have looked at it several times when I wonder the same type of thing.

Yeah, I doubt it's painless for anybody involved, nearly a foregone conclusion, but not painless. In that regard, the Seahawks organization treats them in a classy manner by sending them away with some pretty impressive memorabilia. That impresses me because it might have been the players first and only NFL experience. Why not send them off with something to show their grandkids someday.

Here's my guess:
QB: Brady Quinn
RB/FB: Phil Bates
WR: Bryan Walters, Brett Swain, Donavon Kemp
TE: Jameson Konz, Darren Fells, Andrei Lintz
OL: Ryan Seymour, Jared Smith

DL: (Too many injuries to cut anyone right now)
LB: Craig Wilkins, Kyle Knox
DB: Ron Parker, DeShawn Shead, Tharold Simon (IR'd)

ST: Kyle Nelson

Honorable mentions: Ashford (WR), Rishaw Johnson (OL), Dewayne Cherrington (DL), Martin Parker (DL), Winston Guy (DB)

I think Quinn might make it to final cuts. 1) The Seahawks aren't going to want to give him time to latch on with another team this early. He has more value to other teams right now. 2) Also, there are still a lot of meaningless reps in the final preseason game. No reason to risk T-Jack that whole game if you want him on your regular season roster.

Curry was cut from the Giants and Deon Butler from the Chargers.
