I would cut Drew Lock. He been in the league 6+ years and has done nothing. If Sam Darnold goes down, Drew Lock not going to save us. We can sign a veteran and put on practice squad. If Milroe shows no improvement over next 6 years (or sooner) then he'll be gone as well. Sam or bust. Lock brings nothing but dumb interceptions.
@toffee, get in and put him straight. This is a 13-win team that might need a QB2 back-up in case Darnold misses a game or 2.
In the name of Jody Allen and John Schneider, this is, first of all, 14 14-win team! John Schneider traded for Drew Lock to replace Russell Wilson, but that got sidetracked by old fool Pete and his pet Geno Smith. This offseason, John Schneider again signed Drew Lock to replace Geno Smith.

Now, brethren Seahawks81: when it comes to QB, should we trust proven guru John Schneider or you?

This team will only go as far as Sam takes us. Drew lock throws as many INTs as TDs. Looks at this stats. His best year was 2020. He had 16 TDs and 15 INTs. Again nothing against him but he just another guy. We can find a vet to be 2nd stringer. i mean there difference between a rookie and guys that played 7 years in the NFL. He is who he is..

He and Sam go back and have a great relationship. QB room is going to be just fine this year.

How about finding an outside backer (back up) that isn’t the size of a free safety. If Drake has to play big minutes that is going to get real interesting.

Dalton probably doesn’t sign until after week 1.

I haven't been following that closely, but I keep hearing that MVS is a trade candidate. On another note, I am curious how the Hendrickson situation plays out and maybe he gets traded this week with all the cut downs.

I'm sure the Seahawks would love to trade MVS away and mitigate the awful decision to sign him and guarantee him $3M, but who's the sucker on the other end of a trade? Who would trade anything even potentially useful for a receiver who can't catch?

Za’Darius Smith would be worth going after. Cost far less that the bengals de, and had 9 sacks a year ago.

Just going to put it here.

Not a cut but Michael Jerell was traded to the Falcons for a 7th.

After one pre-season game and playing behind 2nd, 3rd and 4th stringers? WAY too early to give up on the guy. But I respect your opinion, and you've def. made up your mind. And that's fine.
His running ability and speed are VERY much worth keeping around. He's a weapon with his legs.
I agree.

I think some people on .NET have an expectation that he would go out and be 70% completion for 400 yards and scramble for 80 on the ground , challenging Darnold for QB1.

He's a project with huge upside. He might not be ready for 2-3 seasons. Maybe never

It'd be nice if Martinez made it to the PS
