This is the draft for the Hawks to make hay with a combined value of 808...

... vs the rest of the NFCW at 406 (Arizona), 202 (SF) and 71 (Rams).

And the Hawks advantage next year may be even better with two 1st and two 2nd round picks.

With 8 picks, there isn't as much motivation for JS to trade down and accumulate picks as he's done so often in past years, so it will be interesting to see how they play it.

I actually can see him trading down from 9 and then up with one if their second round picks

If there isn't an impact player at #9, I wouldn't mind trading down in exchange for a pick in next year's draft. However, I do think that one of those OT's or edge rushers, two positions we have a very glaring need, will be there.

There's a record 8 teams, a quarter of the league, without a first round pick that you have to think are going to be pretty desperate to get into the first day action.
