I agree with @BirdsCommaAngry, @JPatera76, and @hawks85. It's not just the resources that you're giving up, but the big contract you have to pay. Maxx Crosby is a great player, but you worry what that kind of contract will do to the locker room.

Crosby has had several injuries in the last two years, and missed games. That's not a good sign. He's not getting better at this point, either. So you're paying a lot and hoping that you get 90% of the player he was in 2022-23.

Right. If I were a Ravens fan, I'd be a little nervous. Glad we don't have to worry about his health (and the capital given up) had Schneider made him a Seahawk.

In that case, perhaps his optimal role at this point would be as a rotational piece. He gets fewer snaps, but is able to go maxx effort on every rep. I think a roster and coaching staff like the Seahawks have could have made that situation work to perfection.

Does anyone know if Baltimore has complementary pieces that will allow Crosby to thrive with a potentially reduced but more strategic usage?

I think it's rare that the two first round picks for a superstar works out. Matthew Stafford and Khalil Mack are two examples where the team acquiring the star got good value. But the Bears weren't very good during Mack's tenure there.

We still don't have a verdict on the Sauce Gardner or Micah Parsons trade.

But these trades turned out pretty poorly for the team that acquired the stars: Jamal Adams, Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Jay Cutler, Ricky Williams, Keyshawn Johnson, Jeff George, Fredd Young, and Hershel Walker.

Their pass rush has sucked and previous attempts to improve it haven't panned out. Crosby is there to be a hero.

Can you imagine what Pete would have done if he was still
JS boss?
We'd have Crosby after giving up way more than the Ravens
and paid him more too!

He is not worth 2 1st

Only a super star QB is worth that much

And he is better not be Russell Wilson

Maybe they will be open to a reasonable trade, now. He can’t go back and play for Vegas now can he? That would be pretty toxic.
