He's not playing. Seahawks officially announced that his suspension begins immediately and that he will be eligible to return for the last game of the season.
Walter Thurmond of the Seattle Seahawks has been suspended without pay for the team's next four games for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Thurmond will be eligible to return to the Seahawks' active roster on Monday, December 23 following the team's December 22 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Thanks, thats what I thought.DavidSeven":16axq8l0 said:stack600":16axq8l0 said:I was looking on nfl.com, Checking info on Cox and they have it written that WT3 plays Monday Night????? I wish somebody would put this issue to rest. It is kind of a mute point. But will he play or won't he play????

Silver's article had Browner's suspension for PEDS, it being 8 games, and us having already signed Winfield. That's 0 for 3 on accuracy

Let down the organization, teammates, coaches, fans, everyone. That is just crap in my book! I see people on here saying "it's only weed...innocent until proven guilty...yadda yadda". It's crap. These guys know the deal (including when they'll be tested, unless they've already failed one and then they really shouldn't take a chance) but they want it all. They want to play a game, get big money, a great life, adulation and they want to be able to get high...just like the common man. That's all well and good and I personally don't care what they smoke or take (as long as it hurts nobody else). It's just that they have to play by the set of rules that they are under while they are afforded the opportunities that they have. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of the rules. They are what they are until they're changed. That won't be happening anytime soon. The behavior is selfish and I hate it. If guys keep making these selfish decisions then perhaps they'll have the freedom of the common man sooner than they'd like....besides, a good percentage of people with jobs have to operate under some sort of testing (or threat of same). It just sucks. It may be time to make an example of some of these clowns. Sadly though, it probably wouldn't work. They've been been afforded a different set of rules for most of their lives. I can't believe Thurmond was doing interviews in his "Tony Montana inspired" suit with a big smile on his face knowing damn well what was coming. Browner... well he's had his chances.
This all may turn out fine but we shouldn't even have to be worried about this kind of crap right now. We should be enjoying an historic season and looking forward to a huge game against the Saints. I've only been waiting the whole existence of the Hawks to win it all. I don't want anything mucking it up! 2005 had a DB decide to go out to drink one night, get clocked with a street sign and be out for the year. His backup filled in nicely till he got hurt...in the Super Bowl. It may be that we have the depth or ability to overcome this situation. I think we will. It stinks that we have to find out though. We've had to overcome enough this year already. Oh well, next man up, 1-0 every week, champioship opportunity, Go Hawks!!
