Great guy. He and Erick Coleman (Safety who was drafted by the Jets) lived on the floor below me at WSU and they used to always come up to my dorm room and play NCAA football on I think the PS2 or 3 at the time. A lot of fun times with some very cool down to earth guys.

This guy deserves to be in the pro football HOF. He was an interception machine during his career. He's the guy that gave birth to the term "shut down corner".View attachment 73250
The first to wear #22 was the late great Dave Brown. He was a 1975 first round pick of the Steelers out of Michigan. The Seahawks chose him in the 1976 expansion draft.
In his eleven years with the Seahawks, Brown established, and continues to hold, franchise records for interceptions (50), interception return yards (643), and interceptions returned for touchdowns (5). In 1992, Brown became the third player inducted into the Seahawks' "Ring of Honor".

Ah yes. Doug Long. Great guy. His son Kyle is my brothers best friend. Great familyFirst Seahawk to wear #23 was Doug Long. He played for Whitworth and was a free agent signing in 1977 by the Seahawks. He played for the Seahawks in 1977-1978.
Sadly he died in 2012 at the age of 56. He was born in Spokane, went to Shelton HS and Whitworth College. There were no Seahawks jersey shots I could find of him.
