Seeing as the Raiders already have an GM, the answer is 100 percent... NO.

Also, John Schneider seems to be eager to build a reputation separately from Pete Carroll. He looked giddy when he was handed the keys. This is all before we even consider the fact that John Schneider is still under contract here until 2027. This means that the Raiders would have to trade for him as we have the rights until 2027.

This fan fiction is filled with plot holes.

Remember during Pete's farewell press conference he looked at John and said something like (I can't remember his exact words) "It's all on you now big guy." He said it in a way that implied shit's about to get real now and be careful what you wish for. That moment definitely stuck with me.

Like it or not, John is getting one more year at least. It's too late in the game now to make a change. But I do think his seat is warming up.

Our able general manager John Schneider has redo our entire roster under his image, he even got a new HC to implement his vision, this is time for him to sit back and enjoy the fruit of his hard work. He earned it.

I just hope John is trying to build an identity. He definitely lost it the last half decade + with Pete running the show. Maybe now he’s actually building a trenches team like Howie Roseman does at Philly. One can dream!

In the last three years, John identified the trenches as his main focus, and rebuilt them with big investments:

OL:
Cross - Haynes - Olu - Bradford - Lucas

DL:
Drafted : Young - Morris - Murphy
Signed : Leo - Jones - Reed

There was a lot of scouting and effort there, seeds were planted, and this is the time to harvest.
