It seems a little high, but I’ll wait for details on the deal before passing judgement.
Me too! Got too busy to keep refreshing every 10 minutes.LFG! Me *not* checking my phone for an hour is what did the trick!
Can't compare wr to qb contractsIs he worth half as much as Darnold?
True, but look at those numbers...the last 3 years you are talking about almost 100 receptions, over 1K yards and 8-9 TD's plus he is a great blocker and from everything I have seen a great teammate and easy to root for. Sign me up! I am super excited to watch this team next year and we haven't even had the draft yet where we have 5 picks in the top 92. Let's effing go!Kinda pricey given the recent injury history. Hope he can stay healthy.
Season Games Played Receptions Receiving Yards Touchdowns Catch Percentage Yards After Catch (YAC) Average Depth of Target (ADoT) 2024 12 67 710 6 67.0% 269 7.58 2023 12 59 737 5 62.1% 322 8.31 2022 9 75 812 6 76.5% 413 7.18
I guess but the Kupp ship sailed two years ago. I just don't see him being able to stay on the field.Top receivers get 30 plus
So a mid level guy gets 15
Seems about right
Great human, great player...Sure he's on the downslope of his playing career but I for one think he still has plenty of productivity left in him. Incredible hands. Plenty left in the tank...Just gotta keep him healthy. Great 2/3WR.
Why not, value is value and when you put a number on it you can compare them, I think Kupps value is at least half as high as Darnold. I think Kupp’s value is not that far behind DK’s value and we got him for much cheaper than DKCan't compare wr to qb contracts
Why don’t you like Amari Cooper?Very good signing; I'm happy with it. Anxious to see how it's structured.
There's some real potential that this backfires and gets labeled as a short-sighted decision, but if Kupp stays healthy, I have little doubt that he'll be productive. I was concerned we were going to go after Amari Cooper or Diggs, and I'd much prefer Kupp to them.
I'd still like to add another wideout somewhere. We have a lot of questions after JSN. I'm not convinced Bobo becomes anything special, nor am I convinced MVS even makes the team. Doesn't have to be early, but we should keep the position on the radar.
Except Kupp doesn't have much left in the tank..Why not, value is value and when you put a number on it you can compare them, I think Kupps value is at least half as high as Darnold. I think Kupp’s value is not that far behind DK’s value and we got him for much cheaper than DK
I guess that’s the questionExcept Kupp doesn't have much left in the tank..
Both the Rams and Seahawks took a receiver in the third round of that draft. The results:Welcome home Cooper Kupp. He should have been a Seahawk from the get go. I was bummed they didn’t draft him.
I guess but the Kupp ship sailed two years ago. I just don't see him being able to stay on the field.
Liked him a lot for most of his career, but he looks beyond washed to me at this point, and I don't want to be in a position where we're depending on him.Why don’t you like Amari Cooper?
Pocic actually had a pretty good career. Maybe giving the young guys a little time to mature and learn ain’t such a bad thing. Both the Rams and Seahawks took a receiver in the third round of that draft. The results:
Cooper Kupp, Rams - 634 catches, 7776 yards, 57 TDs
Amara Darboh, Seahawks - 8 catches, 71 yards, 0 TDs
That draft as a whole was an unmitigated disaster. We traded down three times before we made our first pick, but ended up with two second rounders, four third rounders, and another pick near the top of round four.
The second rounders: Malik McDowell, Ethan Pocic
The third rounders: Shaquil Griffin, Lano Hill, Nazair Jones, Amara Darboh
That early fourth rounder: Tedric Thompson
Quantity isn't always better than quality.
No kidding! About time they felt our wrath.Talk about the worst case scenario if you're the Rams.
Do we have an out clause after this year if he stinks up the joint?Liked him a lot for most of his career, but he looks beyond washed to me at this point, and I don't want to be in a position where we're depending on him.
