Both the Rams and Seahawks took a receiver in the third round of that draft. The results:

Cooper Kupp, Rams - 634 catches, 7776 yards, 57 TDs

Amara Darboh, Seahawks - 8 catches, 71 yards, 0 TDs

That draft as a whole was an unmitigated disaster. We traded down three times before we made our first pick, but ended up with two second rounders, four third rounders, and another pick near the top of round four.

The second rounders: Malik McDowell, Ethan Pocic
The third rounders: Shaquil Griffin, Lano Hill, Nazair Jones, Amara Darboh
That early fourth rounder: Tedric Thompson

Quantity isn't always better than quality.

The entire scouting department should have been fired for that draft.

Three years 45 Million
If this is a typical JS contract then it is actually a two year deal with something less than 45 million guaranteed. The key is how much is guaranteed.

Based on what though? Certainly not his per game production over the past 3 years...his time lost to injury is really the only concern.
very true, if he can stay healthy this is going to be a huge win. Hopefully we don't ask him.to block as much, maybe that way we can keep him healthy. The way he leads by example is going to help our young players tremendously.

JS is all about the name on the back of the Jersey and what they used to be. I don't mind Kupp's signing but if JS was a 20 something girl he'd run around the league sleeping with the stars.

Sammy D needs all the help he can get so I approve the signing.

Before he got hurt he still looked awesome last year. He will be an awesome #2 who is super versatile for Darnold. MVS can be a vertical threat and I feel much better about this group and the offense as a whole. Still wouldn’t shock me if they use a premium pick on a WR too if the right guy falls but they don’t have to force it now.

They are set up to really attack the lines if they want.

I’m love this off season so far
I wouldn’t be mad if we made three straight IOL picks.

But, if Golden is there when we’re up…get em JS.

Idk? I have a weird feeling; I've passionately hated playing this guy, and even hearing his name for eight years. Now he's on the home team, it feels weird af!
For real.

It’s like having herpes and you’re like ‘F U HERPES’ and then you find out if you have herpes, you’re immune to Bird Flu.

It’s still FU herpes but, glad you’re here.

My analogies need work.
