Because the Jags are....well the Jags...I expected us to thump them still enjoyed the win, but probably not as much as the 9ers getting pounded by Indy....does that make me a bad Hawk fan?

Seahawks win trumps everything, always. If the Seahawks lost or looked bad yesterday, it would have sucked regardless of what happened in the Niners game.

I feel the same. It was more enjoyable watching the niners lose. Everything I said about Papaki showed up and now the entire nation is seeing what I have seen all along.

How the hell is a 45-17 win not a "thumping"?

Especially when you consider Russell Wilson only played 2 1/2 quarters, and our D was completely subbed out by the 4th.

I think it was a gift for Gus. We laid off the throttle for awhile and played vanilla defense when the outcome was assured.

This win went exactly according to script. We dominated the Jags, got our starters out of there early and without injury, and got our backups some needed regular season playing time. The only way it would be better is that our defense holds them to 0 and makes our 3 game average points allowed just sick.

The Niners getting blown up by the Colts rates about half a notch down for me. It's really really close, as no one really expected us to lose to the Jags. But, now the Niners are in a downward spiral. I think this has to give our guys more confidence for later in the year; we beat them so badly the Colts were still mopping up.

i went to a bar that has little TVs at the tables, like 24" or something. a buddy of mine is a niners fan and he had the game on that TV since all the bar TVs were on the hawks. i must say. it was a fun sunday for me. getting to watch the hawks lay a whoopin and watch him realize his "super bowl" team has some real issues was rewarding to say the least.

The best part about the ninner loss is it seems to have weeded out the "resident" ninner trolls here and on facebook :th2thumbs:

Unless I'm reading his post wrong, he's agreeing that it was a thumping.

Sunday's game , was the first game in a very long time that i did not get up for, i was happy to watch the team, but i sat there emotionless, no pacing, no cursing, no jumping for joy. just kinda whatever. it was a nice break, but i'm glad we're past the jags and moving on to a little more competition.. i like watching them compete, not destroying inferior teams.. just me....

The fact that people on the radio were talking about how the Hawks gave up 17 points and that they should have scored "way more" is laughable. First of all, one of the "drives" for the Jags was 3 yards.
They got their other TD vs our 9th stringers.

He's saying he still enjoyed the win even though he saw it coming

With the game on CBS, it didn't air here, so I went out to a bar to watch it as well. I sat at the bar and across from me on the wall was three giant screens, one with the Seahawks, one with the Niners and the other with the Falcon game. I watched our game very intently, but in between plays and during commercial breaks, I watched as much as I could of whichever of the other two games had action at the moment and I enjoyed every second of watching the two teams many had as super bowl favorites before the season get beaten by what many would have called "lesser teams". I enjoyed watching our game and didn't miss a minute of it, but after awhile, the outcome was quite evident and I got more "bang for the buck" so to speak out of the Niners and Falcons losses. It truly was a great day of football
