Confidence in the 05 team vs. 13 team

Which one are you more confident in and why?

a tough call for me. i said about the same. 05 team steamrolled into the SB. this team i know is good enough but it is peyton manning.

'13, and it isn't really close. Probably because we're a more balanced team this time. The '05 D-especially the DBs-was pretty decimated by injury by the time we made the playoffs. We were starting guys that were hired off the street in December. Our offense kept us going that year. This time, we are pretty strong in all facets of the game, and we're pretty healthy.

Yeah, I like our chances.

2013 team by far. I wish the 2013 team were playing that Steelers team.. they would have destroyed them, flags or not

Sunday night really showed me something about the 2013 team. They can just dig deeper when necessary

I didn't see the flag-fest coming from Super Bowl XL so I was expecting a pretty solid win there. I respect the Broncos this year more than I respected the Stealers that year. That said, this defense just has magic it can do. I like this team better, but I think the opponent is better. Plus I'm more aware of the possibility of a flag-fest against the Seahawks in the big game. So all in all, I probably had a higher expectation of victory with the 05 team but not really because of the team.

I agree, we evidently had this unbeleiveable running game, but in bigger games it tended to disappear. Also the offense as a whole was spotty. Everyone give this year's team a lot of grief, but the 2005 squad wildly inconsistent at times.

When it was clicking and the tempo was up we could strike quickly, then other times we'd struggle to get first downs, a huge example I can remember was at home against the Giants (the 3 missed FG's game- totally awesome) at the end of that game an in OT, the offense was completely inept, unable to get a single first down. Then one big play to Hackett followed by a big run by Alexander and the game was ours.

I like the 2013 team much better and I have more confidence in it.

About the same. We had a ton of confidence going into the Super Bowl in '05, and should have won it. This '13 team would plain wreck both '05 Super Bowl contestants, bogus refereeing or no, but '13 Denver is a whole lot tougher opponent.
