From the Seattle Times:

Cole Young was 3 for 7 with a double, a triple and a home run and four RBI in the Tacoma Rainiers’ 15-14 road loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes on Friday night. Young’s home run was measured at 458 feet, and it was his seventh multi-hit game over a torrid 12-game stretch. In those 12 games, he had a slash line of .426/.509/.872 (1.381 OPS), with 20 hits, five doubles, two triples, four homers, 17 runs, 12 RBI, six walks, five strikeouts and a stolen base. The 21-year-old shortstop/second baseman, the reigning Pacific Coast League player of the week, is one of the youngest players in Triple-A.

Another Piece for the offense coming soon!
I love it, I know the offense coming up is a slower process but
the next two years is going to be fun to watch happen.

The big question is when is Lazaro Montes going to be here. He's 20, and currently still in A ball in Everett but killed it in Modesto last year. I assume he'll be in Arkansas in 2026, then Tacoma in 2027.

Once he gets to AA, it's not out of the question to jump to the show,
plenty have skipped AAA.
Montes is working on defense, the bat is pretty much ready, I know he's
not going to be in Everett for long.

I hate waiting
Yes, it does suck.. But the plan is to try to bring the talent up
as close together as possible.
It's another reason why we may not be seeing fast jumps to the
show.
I think in 2 years all of them are here pretty much.

Guess he bulked up.. added muscle worked on his short comings so.. fingers are crossed.

Cole Young was great at 2B. His problem was slumping at the plate late in the season, and as such was left off of the playoff roster, though he was on the taxi squad, so conceivably could have been called up if needed.

I've been wondering about people who have seemed to forgot about him when guessing our roster this season. IMO Young is the default 2B unless he takes a dump in spring, which it doesn't look like he is doing. It's early, of course, but i suspect he'll be there come April.

While that's cool and all that he hit a ball super far, I don't really care much about that.

What I do care about is the fact that he's hitting .294 with a 1.093 OPS, 6 HR's and 18 RBI's in 51 AB's in ST. Yes, I realize it's spring training and he's facing a lot of minor league pitching, but it's still incredibly encouraging to see him hitting so well.
