But there will still be some who say he is nothing but a whipping boy...that he's actually decent. I don't know what else they need to see.

He flashes great skill at times but I feel like he eventually falls back into the same habits

Trade him to Denver. Anything outside of Air, is a win in a trade.

He doesn't drop picks thrown in the numbers, I'll give you that. He's situationally lost all the time. For the all the great plays he has, he has twice the amount of absolutely embarrassing ones.

It’s weird watching him. He’s surprisingly decent on pass coverage. But at the same time is probably the worst run defending LB in the NFL. Just absolutely zero awareness of run fits, zone reads, anything. I’ve never seen a dude purposely wash himself out of plays, just to engage a blocker, instead of make a play on the ball carrier like he does. I know we were absolutely blessed watching Bobby and KJ play with such intelligence and talent but we shouldn’t have to go the complete opposite spectrum with Barton. Tanner Muse looks lost pre-snap but was so much more involved in plays by just being active, intelligently.

I really think they need to scrap this weird scheme they ran this year, Fangio's defenses were bottom of the league this year I don't consider that a coincidence-granted that yes the team lacks serious defensive talent but it's definitely accentuated by this very bad scheme that is getting destroyed by the run game across the league.

Barton is fine playing centerfield as I believe he was a safety in college. For whatever reason he can not stack and shed at the point of attack as a LB and doesn't display proper angles to fill gaps. Barton is a situational nickel LB and shouldn't be a starter IMO. Not a knock on Barton really as he is what he is.

He is playing out of position as a MLB. The only backer position he can play is weakside lolb in a 43 defense.

Just when I thought he was starting to turn a corner, he runs into the wrong gap where a wall is waiting for him
He had 2 or 3 bad plays before that too. Love him to death but he's not a starter. He started playing deeper after the bad start and still got bit. Draft a MLB.

Lmao...

Yeah if he's on the team next year, I won't be. It's either him or me. Pete has a decision to make
You have already said you’re not going to be a fan next year for a couple reasons now…just leave already
