He's already broken out. He just doesn't have a lot of highlight reel plays - touchdowns, especially, or big runs - to go with his body of work. He's one of the league's best kept secrets.
The thing about Carson is he always gets the yardage consistently. Some backs in the NFL run for 2 yards per carry and then break out for a huge gain. Carson chips them away with 4 yards here, 5 yards there consistently. He doesn't really ever lose yardage. The guy just keeps churning forward.
That's what's impressive about Carson's yardage, it's not like he is having a quiet game and then had a long rush which pads his stats, he's just constantly picking up 3, 4 or 5 yards. His season long so far is 24 yards which isn't a lot at all and yet his average is still impressive, so when Carson does start getting 50 and 60 yard runs, his stats will be through the roof.

People who think Carson is "just emerging" weren't paying attention last season. Carson did the same thing for several games before he was injured.

Most Seahawk fans know what Carson is capable of.

Exactly. I don't see him as 'breaking out" at all. He was really good before his injury last season, and he's just continued that this year. IMO he's a top 10 runner easy and maybe even higher had he been given a real shot from the start of the year.

He's at 14 right now at 4.4 ypc on way less attemps than the top 5. Gurley is 4.7 ypc for some context and the league leader In total yards.

Can't wait for him to get a 50-60 yard TD run.

To me that is one of the impressive things about him. He has consistently piled up the yardage without a stat padding big run. His longest run from scrimmage is 24 yards. Currently he is #11 in rushing yards and #8 in rushing yards per game. Him being #11 in total rushing yards is even more impressive when you factor in that the Seahawks have already had their bye week and he missed the Arizona game. His yards have come in only 5 games and the first two games of the season showed no running game and his yards in those two games totaled 75. That’s under his season per game average. When a RBs stats are analyzed, they are often skewed by one or two long runs. Since he hasn’t had any breakaway runs, his 4.4 ypc is really a pretty accurate description of what he does on each run. Chris Carson consistently gets 4-5 yards each time he carries the ball.

Spot on !

Carson might not play today and if he does he won't be 100%...Davis is the only other RB that is consistent ...they have Penny and Prosise neither of which will take up the slack if Carson can't go. Without Carson Wilson might have to resort to his old style of improvising on the run...the old offense . Nobody wants to go back to that. They need a power run game to sustain this season. IMO..GO HAWKS!!
