I'm good with that. The only other consideration was Earl on defense, but Red maybe gets it as he's been here longer?

I too would have taken Earl over Red, mainly because Earl is an every down player and Red's more or less situational, but Red's in no way a bad choice. He definitely gets the boys fired up and people clearly look to him as a leader on D.

Russell is a no brainer and Farwell makes tons of sense for special teams with MRob gone.

Red's been the captain 2 years. No reason why the same Defense would stop voting for him.

I am surprised Unger isn't a captain as well. You are allowed 2 spots for Captain on each side of the ball, so since Unger was captain last year I was expecting both him and Wilson to be captains.

There are so damn many leaders on this team that the 'C' is both a real honor and a mere formality.

I can't believe the players would have voted Red captain either.

Hope the drug test isn't today.

At least you're committed to the bit. Skip Bayless has taught you well. ;)

As for the captains. Good choices. I was assuming ET on D. But when you think about it, if you listen to reporters who are close to the team, Big Red really does get A LOT of respect in that locker room.

I wish Unger was still captain.

I like it when the big uglies get a little extra attention....as long as it's not during a play, because that means they usually did something wrong.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that as well, HawksSoc. It's twice as easy for a Panther to become a captain, to boot. I wonder if they have six just so they could get Cam to be one? Hahaha. Anybody know how many captains the Panthers have had each year going back to the year before they drafted Cam?

Yeah! My boy Farwell. That guy makes just about every special teams play he's in.

Big Red getting some love too, that's a solid choice as he's been around and so many guys already look up to him. Good influence for the younger players.
