Doesn't anyone see that this is Carroll? When we get a two score lead, the direction is to be conservative and rely on the defense. It's very clear. He says it himself all the time.

Correct, we get the lead and it is the D's job to seal the victory! No reason to risk interceptions and beat ourselves when leading by 16 points with the weather as it was.....in actuality, Brees should have had 2 picks.....and it wouldn't have even been a game at the end for people to whine about!

Yep we just need him to stay on the field. Our offense has not truly overcome the loss of Rice. Our playbook got real small when he went down and Russell's confidence took a hit as well. Bevel certainly opened up the book for Percy and the offense was back... until he got hurt again. Whether it be Rice or Harvin we need that one extra cylinder firing to make this thing run right.

Okay you realize Rw had his 3 best games ever after Rice went down right. The reality is what changed in the play calling after we clinched which just so happened to be the win against NO.

Purposely conservative looks alarmingly like purposefully inefficient lately.

Our defense better hope turnovers grow on trees if our ball control offense continues to be this conservative. We're past 16 weeks of second chances. Teams will continue to throw the kitchen sink at us no matter how scary or touchdown padded our defense may be.
