Don't forget...historically the Hawks have been a better team in the second half of the season. We haven't even hit our stride yet and are going to be getting some KEY players back. Bad news for the rest of the NFC!

If there's a single person on this board that doesn't think we can (and likely will), I'd question your knowledge of NFL football. Saints are about half as lethal on the road and we're twice as lethal at home, not to mention I'd take us 8 times out of 10 in a neutral site as well. And yes, the Pats just wrote the blueprint for how to stop Jimmy Graham with press coverage at the line of scrimmage. Luckily for us, we have the best weapons in the league for implementing that blueprint

Do you question my NFL knowledge since I'm not a Hawks' fan? :lol: Also, the bolded statement made me chuckle. We actually have the NFL's best record on the road since 2009 at 23-12 (should be 24-11 with that final holding call, but whatever), and the Patriots trail us at 22-13 in the same time span. Keep in mind, this is also including our "Bountygate"-laced season from last year where we struggled to 3-5 on the road. Our other seasons included road records of 7-1 (2009), 6-2 (2010), 5-3 (2011) and 2-1 so far this year. The stat's under the "Road Warriors" tab... :th2thumbs:

Saints morning report: Graham tops in NFL

As for the Graham shutdown, it was heartbreaking to watch, but even more painful to watch Payton and Brees keep trying to force it to him in the same situations. It was like we were running our heads into a brick wall over, and over, and over, and over and then once more just for good measure. Brees would just keep zoning in on Graham, then Sproles and the ball would rarely go elsewhere. With that being said, if our game would be this coming week, I would be *****ng bricks as a Saints fan not knowing how our receiving game will bounce back after having Jimmy and Sproles shutdown. Thankfully for us, and much to you guys' chagrin, we have a buffer of games to see without as much implication as our next 2 games are out-of-conference games. But I really think Sean realized his mistake and won't be that hardheaded twice by trying to force Jimmy the ball as much as he did last week. The old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me", has never held more true. :lol:

It will be a game that will be fought tooth and nail without question though. I love how confident you guys are, though; I can't hold it against you guys, because we have the same mentality in our camp about the game. :0190l:

Let's just keep winning so that game against the Saints means something.

Our biggest game is next week against the Rams.

Same feeling here, bro. We have an insane stretch to worry about, the 49ers (3 p.m. start on 11/17), then travel TO Atlanta for Thursday Night Football, before coming back home and then traveling TO Seattle for our showdown against you guys that are also coming off a bye. Thankfully, we'll be on our own little "mini" bye, but it still won't compare to how rested you guys will be after a 14 day rest. We had a similar stretch last year (vs. 49ers at 3, @ Falcons on TNF and @ NYG 2 Sundays after, which we got shellacked in), and we ended up dropping all 3. :34853_doh: But I think we'll be in a good situation to win 2 of those games (hopefully the Falcons game and against ya'll :lol.

After our scrap with ya'll, our schedule is also backloaded with divisional games. 3 of the last 4, and the other game that isn't a division game is @ Rams, whom for some reason we've really struggled with the past few years.

Serious question? We SHOULD beat New Orleans at home. I am sure they will put up points but they won't be putting on an offensive clinic like they usually do on other teams. We will score a lot on them because hopefully we have our full O-Line back as well as Percy.

There isn't a team in the league we can't beat, home or away, and that includes Manning and the Broncos. No disrespect to Drew Brees or anyone else, but the Saints will have to play some pretty darn good defense as it's unlikely that they'll run up more than 24 on us in our house. Neither Tom Brady nor Aaron Rodgers could do it last year.
