I am disappointed at all the meritless attacks on Prosise's character and toughness. You freakin try playing with a broken scapula! This NFL shit is serious, car-accident level contact on many plays a season. The guy gets an injury in 2016 that doesn't heal right, possibly multiple injuries beyond those listed, and trying to come back keeps re-aggravating the injury and/or resulting in compensatory injuries. The Seahawks doctors and trainers didn't guess right in their recovery program, his body didn't respond quickly, and finally it looks like they did figure it out, he had some unspecified "abdominal surgery" in the offseason, and comes back into the picture looking like a top-flight NFL RB.
So many people here have been dogging him, while knowing next to nothing about the reality of his situation. Assuming that his reinjuries/being unavailable are him not being "tough" enough, that all he needs to do is play through.
Remember Pete's annoyance with Percy Harvin and his injury malingering? I've never heard or felt any of that from Pete towards Prosise. It's pretty clear Pete believes in Prosise's character and work habits.
Prosise did look electric in preseason. Assuming he is physically capable of playing at the level he did when healthy and active in 2016, we will be getting an even *better* version of Prosise than we saw that year. Yes, he hasn't been playing in the games, but he's been taking the mental reps, learning Schotty's offense, where to expect the holes to be, how to read defenses, and pass blocking, and simply continuing to develop as an NFL pro, no longer a wide-eyed rookie.
Prosise could give us that 3-headed monster at running back, lighten Carson's load a little, maybe keep Carson healthier, and create some matchups that cause real problems for opposing defenses. Can't wait to see!

Perhaps it's more of a testimonial to the poster's character.RiverDog":3cr8o67w said:chris98251":3cr8o67w said:Lets just say I really saw nobody attacking his character, people attacked his cost and non performance over a long period of time costing a spot to someone that could contribute and probably cost less then a guy in a whirlpool tub all season.
I guess it depends on your definition of an attack, but when armed with no other information other than a player's availability causes some to question their heart and toughness while others make cheap jokes regarding his injury history, it's not a testimonial to his character.

Over the past 3 years, some of the injuries I seem to remember was the scapula, which I do understand takes a long time to hear. Most recently it was a hip related issue. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me would have the list of all the injuries, but if my memory serves me right, it seems they were different and unrelated injuries.
I would remember Shawn Alexander whose character was outstanding and as an individual it would be hard to find someone better. None the less, he was soft his final year, seeming to go to the ground early to keep from getting hit. Regardless of how much he had done for us in the past, he took a big pay check, but went soft, almost appearing to be afraid of taking a hit. That being said, most of us on this board would be afraid to take an NFL hit, however for Prosise and Alexander it's part of the deal and what you get paid for to do.
I would hope Prosise would be equally hard on himself, if not harder on himself than fans. Perhaps he was.
The point of my post is it seems strange he made the roster, he appears injury prone, and I would love to eat crow over this post and have him prove us naysayers wrong. None the less, from a performance and durability standpoint, C J has a LOT to prove over the next 5 weeks.

But he was a pansy.
