Nearly all the online news sites, as well as Pete, had something to say about Clemons and his return, but nobody mentioned Browner. So what happened? Is there nothing to say because he made no mistakes or what? How did he do?

Browner looked pretty good to me, especially for his first game back.

There was one play I noticed where he gave up a first down on a third and short. He was playing extremely close to the line to try and knock the receiver, but for some reason, Earl Thomas came over and told him to back off. BB backed up about 5-7 yards, and then the Jags completed a quick pass for the 1st down.

Not sure why Earl told BB to back off, seems like they wouldn't have thrown there if he was in his original position.

Browner was afraid to get up in the face of the WRs at the line of scrimmage, so I liked to see that.

I'm guessing you meant he wasn't afraid to get up in the face of WRs at the line of scrimmage?

Don't think it had to do with quality of play. Clemons was the focus for news sites instead of Browner probably for a few reasons, mainly because this is the first game since a horrific injury 8 or so months ago. I am amazed he made it back by week 3 and it is awesome to see him back. It is awesome to see both them back and playing, but Clem was more of a story in my opinion.

Like hawk meat said, Clemons was coming off a major injury while browner was out for a couple of weeks with a hamstring.

Yeah that's what I meant. Trying to save as many characters typing as I can, you know? :D

They very well could have wanted the ball thrown to that receiver as part of the game plan.

It's unfortunate the play resulted in a 1st down, but I believe we may have schemed to allow them that opportunity. My understanding is that a certain amount of "baiting" occurs where we will show them where we want them to go.

I dunno how much Browner played, seems like he was on the field much less than he usually would be even before the starters were pulled. I think they had him out there to get warmed up but didn't want to over-work him.

Keep in mind his pulled hamstring is about as minor as an NFL injury gets while still keeping a guy out of a couple games. Compared to Clemons his injury isn't one of those 'we have to see' things that you're really worried about having a set-back with so I don't think there was any reason to give him a specific progress report.

i did see a whole lot of Maxwell especially towards the end of the 1st half and early second qtr. probably just going slow with his returen, the game was in had at that point, no need for him or any of the starters really to be out there more than necessary.
