If they do it, I will be a big fan of the move, but only because MM is an absolute wizard at seeing potential in players, and how they will fit into his defensive system.
He's not a fit in Mac's D, you have to be able to cover in certain calls
and Wags doesn't have it; He can straight forward tackle and that's
not what Mac needs.
He needs pieces to cover Puka from the linebacker spots and back.

I realize this, which is why I said the only reason I would be happy is because of MM wizardry in seeing how a player fits his defense. Because I certainly don't see it.

You can't go back in the Womb, Lockett and Wags are Ring of Honor and Wags a Hall of Famer, he would not try but his presence would disrupt the culture here due to his long tenure.

Don't see it happening.

If it DID, it would reek of being a parting gift that isn't deserved... which I highly doubt that Bobby would want.

Mike MacDonald doesn't seem like the kind of guy to give undeserved "gifts" especially with his defense.
If he brings him in, I trust it's because coach thinks he can play a role to help us win.

MM seems to have a preference for his guys in the middle to be around 230 with speed and ball skills, anything resembling BWags is typically part of the DL rotation or Edge. If there is a place for him, it would be great to bring Wags back but only if the Seahawks can actually use him effectively. Wagner's stats are still high because he is typically one of the best players on a poor defense, something that wouldn't be a thing on the Dark Side

Tons of respect to Wagner for grinding year after year, and he has earned his future first-ballot HOF, but we just wouldn't have many snaps for him. He's at that awkward spot where he's not good enough to earn a lot of snaps on our defense, but he's still good enough to be a major piece on a defense that isn't as good. Would've been cool if things aligned, but they didn't.

I wan't nothing to do with Wagner at this stage and dont think he fits at all but a one day retirement thing like Lockett did would be cool.

OP here,
I guess I need to clarify, my meaning was for him to sign and retire a Hawk and IF he could play some meaningful rotational snaps along the way first, great. I thought it would be great for him and the 12's, I never meant for him to be a starter.
Sorry if my post was not clear in its intent.

Ozzy and a few others got it.

When are folks gonna learn that this defense requires a pass covering mike linebacker? One who can drop into a deep middle zone.
Exactly this.. not a LB who can tally up tackles 4 yards past the LOS
