Come on JS bring back Bobby, if just for a rotation player. He is still a free agent. Let him come home and retire a Seahawk.

What ya all think.

If he only played one snap (or more) is kinda what I was thinking. I think as a rotation player (Very Limited). Then retired as a Seahawk...

Not the worst idea in the world.
At 35, Bobby had his usual near all pro season.

162 total tackles.
79 solo tackles.
4.5 sacks.
2 INT.
8 tackles for loss.
4 pass defended.
Overall PFF grade 78.6- 9th best among LBers.
90.3 run defense- 5th best.
92.4 pass rush- 2nd best

Will be 36 June 27.

I think John should bring Bobby in for a sit down to see if he would be interested in an assistant linebacker coaching job to mentor the young guys.
I would add the stipulation/option that he would stay in playing shape in case we suffer an injury and his services are needed.
I know it sounds Hokey, but I'm just thinking Lenny Wilkens here.

I don’t think Wagner is wanting to coach. The guy still wants to play. I personally don’t see any benefits bringing Wagner in. When you play a vet you simultaneously lose out on developing young players that need reps. Seattle does not need Wagner, Seattle, needs to continue to develop young players to see if they can be future pro bowlers and all pros. Developing young players by giving them reps are much more beneficial short and definitely long term.

If he or any player makes the team better, sign him up! 60 more tackles for the record!

I never liked the idea of playing the less talented player for development reasons. Put the best people out there and try to get the win!

He’s an all time favorite of mine. I’d love to see him set the record and if Macdonald thinks he could use him to his strengths I’d absolutely LOVE it. Sadly I don’t think he fits this defense at this point in his career.

Wherever he signs they will get a guy with a lot of knowledge and still solid abilities so I hope he finds that for himself and his career.

He is about to break the career tackles record so I think he is looking to start somewhere. Im sire someone will give him thst chance after the draft. He isnt going to start here so I dont see him coming back.

You make a good point. However in this particular year the draft is not deep in talent at every position, if it is an ANY position. If there ever was a good year to make such a move this year is it.

I love BWags, however Father Time always wins when it comes to careers.
I think Wagner would be an excellent coach if he wants to continue in football ,he has a lot of knowledge to pass along.

I hope he retires a Seahawks player, but his abilities and speed are eroded now by age and he just wouldn’t fit this D. Still he was amazing for us and I will never forget the 54- 50 combination, he and KJ Wright were special.

What’s the difference between Wagner and d Lawrence though, maybe linebacker is not the typical spot that you rotate guys, but b-wags would be behind Drake Thomas? I like Drake but he could use a guy like Bobby pushing him

If they do it, I will be a big fan of the move, but only because MM is an absolute wizard at seeing potential in players, and how they will fit into his defensive system.
