He was walking very nimbly after the game. I would not be surprised if he needed a week off.

Which would suck.

Sweezy was held of last weeks practice and then was full go the rest of the week. Plenty of days until the game. There is no such thing as a healthy football player. When they say, "I'm 100%", it's still relative.

by this point in the season, pete has historically held out players from Wednesday and sometimes even Thursday practices to give them a little extra time to get their bodies right for the following game. I wouldn't be overly concerned unless he is still out on friday

Isn't walking nimbly a good thing?

Well I meant he was trying to walk as lightly as possible because it hurt to put his weight on his feet. I guess words like gingerly or limping badly could also be used to describe how he was walking.

Yeah, gingerly fits. Nimbly means quick, agile.

I love Breno's toughness but I've never been overly impressed with his blocking. In the past, I'd usually fret about possibly losing a starting tackle but we are so deep this season I see this is as possibly a great opportunity for either Bowie or Bailey to take over his position...for good.

If anybody who watched PC and Bevell's Wednesday press conferences didn't see the added concern in both of there eyes while fielding questions about how to deal with Cushing, Watt, and Houston's DL in general, they need to watch again.

You 'next man up' on OL as a last resort against this particular opponent. Yeah, Breno has pretty much peaked, but at this point he's seen WAY more looks from opposing D's in actual game situations, not to mention a certain chemistry with the guys playing next to him. That might be enough to tread water against these dudes... Bowie's definitely got more upside, but I'm afraid he'd be 6ft under at this point. #3 is a tough li'l varmit that can endure a beating, but even dudes with badger-like builds can only take so much.

Best possible situation is to do as we've been doing. Give Bowie and Bailey their PT when we have a sizeable lead. How cool would it be to put a Brady-like beating on these cow skulls, then let #7 and crew play clean-up? One can dream, eh? I'm pretty sure Breno will be ready for this game regardless. He might even persuade a few of those dudes to gift us some 'bonus' yards.

I am all for Bowie getting the start as he is my adopt a rookie

+1. I wouldn't mind seeing what Bowie can do with the #1s. Bailey, too.
