That Brandon Marshall is a pretty swell guy...and makes sense since he has battled a mental disorder

I wish we had him.

I remember when the rumor came out he was being traded from Denver, and MAYBE, Pete wanted in. I was in a swanky rehab down in SD and was GRILLING a dude from Denver about Marshall. I wanted to know EVERYTHING. He sang very high praises.

Irony?

I was also in that rehab when the Hawks landed Whitehurst. Diehard Chargers fans couldn't to tell me a thing about Charlie.

Oh we wanted him. They flew him and his crazy girlfriend in on a seaplane. It was video'd on .com and everything.

The Dolphins gave up more than we wanted and than traded him like a year later for peanuts.

What could have been....

He was still pretty unstable in Miami, idk if it would've worked out here. Talent is certainly there, but his head was in another place which is why Miami traded him even though he was doing really well on the field for two 3rd round picks only after obtaining him for two 2nd round picks. Got to give it up to him, he has really turned his life around for the better. Chicago got a steal.

To beat Chicago's offer, Seattle would have had to trade a 2012 3rd and 2013 2nd. That's Russell Wilson and Christine Michael. Y'all still think that sounds like a sweet deal?

I don't really appreciate you bringing reality into things. Do you only masturbate to "attainable" women also?

That wasn't the year we flew him out here and wanted him but don't let facts get in the way of this conversation.

It was the year he was traded to the Dolphins. If we gave up the same compensation as the Dolphins it would have been Golden Tate and pick #57 the next year. If we wanted to beat Miami's compensation we could have given the Tate pick and James Carpenter pick.

Y'all still think that sounds like a sweet deal?

Well put and it goes even beyond that. If we trade for Marshall, we likely don't sign Rice. Would Marshall have been worth Tate, Carpenter, and Rice?

Yes, but only with hindsight lol. But to trade away even what Miami gave up at the time was pretty crazy. I remember that the Broncos wanted our 14th pick during then, and everyone thought he was only worth one 2nd round pick, so what Miami gave up was still perceived as a lot. Factor in his mental state and a big contract and the decision gets a little harder.

Don't even blame PC&JS for passing, Marshall although extremely talented, was a huge cancer. He had legal troubles still in Miami after being traded the first time, and only turned it around when he was shipped to Chicago.

Imo yes. We also probably don't trade for Percy too. Would you have liked to have a 1st this year and a 3rd next year?

Oh, no blame at all my friend. They tried very hard for him. I'm not even sure they passed on him, just out bid for a guy they were gonna have to pay huge bucks to as well. Who knows maybe it was a learning lesson of sorts. They gave up a 1st and a 3rd for Harvin who had similar "issues" as Marshall.

Attainable women are the hottest kind. Maybe that's just a getting older thing.
