Didn't see this discussed anywhere. Another big name that it would suck to lose.

Seattle Seahawks middle linebacker Bobby Wagner was walking on crutches Wednesday and wearing a protective boot over his sprained left ankle.

“Bobby will see if he can make it back by game day,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday. “But it will go all the way to Sunday.”

Edit: sorry, just saw it was in Pete's presser thread. Delete if needed.

Does this mean we will Farwell struggle and piss me off more? Or will they put KJ at MLB and start Smith?

Just sit him unless it's absolutely 100%. It's a home game against a non-elite team with their starting QB out, it won't affect the ultimate outcome. I'd rather have BSwagz super-healthy for @ Cardinals the following week.

Pete said they would move KJ and start Smith.

How many times did we hear this in 2009? Only to get our butts kicked! We'd better "kick it in gear" this Sunday if the players are to get their "swagger" back!

Of course, I wasn't referring to Bobby Wagner specifically....just the bragging that we were going to "clean house" Sunday.

Yeah, that's what I thought you meant. I can't remember high expectations around here in 2009. I don't really remember a lot of that season's reactions/expectations on this forum, though, so I could be wrong.

I wasn't bragging either. I just believe that this is a team we should handle in our house. If we have any designs on the post-season, these are the games we have to win. It's that simple.

We should be favorites in every game up to our "BYE" week!

No, he said either KJ or Smith can play mike, and they'll get that figured out this week.

Man, it sure is a good thing we still have Bradford...

Oh.

+1

Bradford was the one guy I was most disappointed (aside from Leon and Mrob of course) that we let go this season.

I want to see Bradford in at MLB. He was looking awesome in preseason. I'm, frankly, quite surprised we haven't seen him used more to spell Wagner and Wright. Dude's a beast and he has a nose for the ball.

On edit: I didn't realize we let go of Bradford... WT#!?!

Sucks that Wagz is hurt, but I'm actually very excited to see what this is going to look like. I love KJ, but Fat Kobe's looked out of place playing the Will. Just doesn't seem quick enough in space.

Irvin/Wright/Smith might be a step down from Irvin/Wagner/Wright, but Smith moves plenty quick and looked real good playing Will late last year. If this combo looks productive on Sunday, it might prompt Pete to try Irvin/Wright/Wagner when Bobby comes back.

Just play Nickel the entire game with Browner in the middle and Thurmond outside rotating Max with Sherm and Thurmond.

Question: If the defense seems to mesh better with KJ in the middle (assume Wagner is out more than one week if any), do you consider keeping him there and moving Wagner outside? (He did play it in college after all...)

EDIT: On a side note I am beyond happy they are moving KJ over instead of starting farwell if needed
