Feeling a little blue on this first blue Friday of the year without football. I feel much better about the state of our football team when I look at the youth that is the core of this team and the leadership that stems from the top! Thanks, Paul, Pete, and John! Thanks players for another good season! Happy Blue Friday 12's! Here's to a productive and prosperous offseason!

Amen Brutha!

I appreciate how hard our Front Office has worked, and how elite they've been at acquiring, and coaching up talent while the NFL ignores John Schneider and Pete Carroll when it comes to awards. Frankly, I don't care about them, and I don't think Pete and John do either. I almost prefer it this way.

Yesterday I heard Heath Evans talking about what make Bill Belicheck so good, and he said "Bill can recognize talent, and what you do well, then he puts you in a position to succeed by not pushing you out of your comfort zone. He gets the most out of uniquely talented players."

And he does, but so does Pete. I think Pete's better at it though. He gets the players to buy in and they make themselves the best that they can be because they want to be, once Pete gets done with them.

I said it 4 or 5 years ago, players like Kam Chancellor don't have such wild success in the NFL if they are drafted by another team. Because the other 31 teams didn't see where his abilities lie, so wouldn't be able to nurture them. Want proof? Look at how good they are here, then how good they are when they sign somewhere else. Night and Day.

But back to the subject at hand, as a fan, I want to say thank you to everyone in the Seahawks facility from Paul Allen on down to the waterboy for doing what you do, and helping to make this team the best it can be.

And thank you to the fans that go to the games and scream their lungs out. Thank you to the fans that make such a great showing, along with a lot noise at away games!

Thank you to the fans that were there to meet the bus when the players came home from Carolina! You may be part of the reason that Earl Thomas decided to forego that Poor Boy, errr I mean Pro Bowl, and focus on 2016! Don't underestimate the effect that a welcome home has on a team after a devastating loss! Go you! :th2thumbs:

And thank you to players like Marshawn Lynch who worked their asses off so that they could give as much of their body as they could to help their team! We Love You!

Go Hawks! :icon_new:

Today is definitely bittersweet. We were supposed to be getting hyped the NFC championship game. Damnit.

To briefly stray off subject, I think both Coaches are about equal with the maximizing talent, but Bill is far more thorough in getting his team prepared. As one example, he sits down with Brady for a multi-hour session before each game. In this session he covers, in-depth, the D he's about to face, and grills him with questions until he is comfortable Tom fully understands that specific D, what it tries to accomplish, and how to properly attack it.

As far as the pre and regular season went, the effort was always there, though too many of the fixes came a day late and dollar short. On the positive side, we saw great strides on the offensive side of the ball, and several teaching points/lessons learned by both the coaches and the players. Hopefully the playoff loss taught the coaches to be true to who the team was, and to quickly get back to their strengths if what they are doing isn't working. JS mentioning OL as a priority give me great hope that they have also learned something in that regard.

The 12s were on-point, as always. From players' tweets alone, it was obvious how much the turnout to meet the bus after the loss/es meant to them. We have a world-class fan base regardless of how the season/s went.

Everyday is "Blue Friday" for me. I'm not without one or more of the following.....Hawks cap, Hawks hoodie or Hawks pullover, Hawks T-shirt or Hawks jersey EVER. I'm not playing the "Super Fan" card, just the fact I represent the team I've loved since I was a little kid. Plus it drives the cowboys fan at work nuts. 8)

I'll still be wearing my Hawks gear today.. living in New England.

Its strange to be rooting for a division rival today, but I'm pulling for the Cards. A panthers/pats superbowl would be a dagger through the heart.

I rep all year long.
Today is no different.

Having said that, today I'm "blue" even if my gear isn't.
