I think this team has way more young talent than what PC started with in 2010. He was truly in a full on rebuild. I think we need to find a young QB, build the oline and keep adding pieces to the defense. Take that money you are paying Geno and a couple of the other over-paid guys and invest in the trenches. Finding the QBOTF is the hardest thing to accomplish, all a moot point if that doesn't happen.

Yes to this.. but I would trade Cross
He’s not worth an extension
You know…you’re right. Cross gone.

I know it’s crazy I mentioned K9. He’s a helluva back.

But until your interior is shored up, unless your RBs name is Barry Sanders, it doesn’t matter how damn good K9 is.

I know MM needs time…

But if a reboot is due, and I believe it is, you build from the inside out.

A team that has a top 7-10 O and D line, will compete. There’s plenty of examples of that…including the Vikings this year. Maybe Pitt. Najee Harris is nice but, the rest??? But I’ll be damned if they don’t have a nice O and D line.

If they don't blow it up, how will they ever get a QBOTF? How will they get competent o-line? Their SB window is not open right now or in the foreseeable future.
With the draft being just an educated gamble, our 1st round QB draft could get us someone like Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rogers....or just as likely someone like Bryce Young or previous Seahawk 1st round QB picks such as Dan McGwire and Rick Mirer.

Not crazy at all to trade K9.. I agree 1000%.
So many great OL prospects last year. We managed to whiff unfortunately. At least the next 48 hours will be exciting ..

The blow it up thing is kind of a silly notion to me in today's NFL. Just draft better, sign FA's that either play premium positions or fill needs on our O-line, actually spend some draft capital on a potential QB prospect and not ignore it year after year, cut players and eat their contracts if you have to who are either underperforming or are overpaid, and jettison malcontents who aren't with the program.

The NFL is a parity league, always pulling teams back to the pack for one reason or another. There's only a few teams that manage to defy the odds largely from having solid stable ownership, a great staff, an elite QB, and a reasonably well managed CAP.

Not really, though you may have taken it that way. You should always be doing most of those things, rather than not, no matter what your record is. Belichick wasn't married to any player, not even Brady at the end.

We need :
Two linebackers
DE ( who can at least get his hands on the QB)
Two cornerbacks
One safety

One WR
Two Tightends
LG, C, RG maybe RT ?
And Another RB who can gain one yard ( big body type )

And new QB who can at least move in the pocket and not throw it to the other team ….

Big ask but between draft , free agency and maybe a trade or two we can get there one to two more years … maybe less if we get lightning in a bottle somewhere ….
I don't agree . (Respectfully)

The defense played pretty dang well today , essentially held a SB winning QB to 13 points for 4 quarters. You want to replace 6 of 11 starters . I thought they'd improved massively.

I agree that Geno Smith isn't going to be the guy moving forward past this season . He doesn't seem to have the temperament , gets too emotional , yells at his teammates and threw away 14 points with bad decision making . This game should've never went to O.T. !!

They do need to improve the o line but I don't think they need 4 new lineman . The teams that spend the most on o line don't necessarily have the best units. Grubb is still getting his feet underneath him in regards to play calling in the NFL but I'm optimistic because they've moved the ball at times. But your QB can't get sacked 7 times and your QB can't throw 3 interceptions.

This team will get where it needs to be ....in time .

Don't get me wrong , there will be some turnover between MM's first and second season as head coach. He isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Patience.

Yup, everyone talking about how great the defense played but they are utter trash. Grubbs and Macdonald need to join Pete and get the hell out too.
Good progress on D today...O was bad for sure...when both come together behold...but it may not be this year...

Geno throws for 300+ yards, gets sacked 7 times (Rams were sacked 0), throws 3 TDs = Trash.
Stafford throws for 290, gets sacked 0 times, and also should have had multiple INTs = GOAT.

Rams and Seahawks have similar defenses (both below average). Rams are a mid offense at best and Puka out, they are worse.

Njigba gives up a tip int on a good throw, AJ barnes gets held for another INT (stupid timing play that Geno has to trust his back to be there). Ramsey's pick was just a bad throw under pressure. I didn't say Geno was the greatest.

We have problems on both sides of the ball, geno does good then but then he’ll just throws the ball up for grabs into double or triple coverage or takes a 15 yard sack instead of just running forward for anything positive ( or roll out the pocket and throw the ball away )
Our defense played 100% percent better than the last few games but again they are always playing press coverage when they should be playing off the ball and off the ball when they should be playing press … I call every play the rams we’re gonna do in OT by the coverage we were in, it’s not hard to see … and woolen was the main person who was playing the wrong coverage every time … so yes there are people who should stay and there are alot who should go …

And when you are down by alot of points your gonna have to pass the ball a lot ( 300+ yards ) to try and come back but those INTs and sacks make the game for the other team , shit imagine if we had just one int and 3 sacks that stopped them from scoring we would of won …

As pissed and bummed as I am to see the Hawks literally hand the game to the Rams of all teams, I just don't have the energy to even muster up much today.
F the Rams, for life.

On the offense alone we need a new QB and 4 of our 5 O linemen need to be upgraded (we clearly can't depend on Lucas). Almost 50% of our starting offense needs upgraded and at the hardest positions to upgrade! And again that's on offense alone. John has done a terrible job with roster building. "But Pete had final say these years." Blah blah. Pete didn't sign those STIFFS Williams and Tomlinson. Schneider has no eye for O line talent. Schneider needs to go.
