(also the Cardinals, but who cares about those chumpstains?)
Skip to about 30:00 to get to the Seahawks part.
I have to be honest: I appreciate that Bill Barnwell uses advanced metrics to evaluate players and teams, and I am not saying that he is always wrong or anything like that, but there is not a guy that I consistently disagree with more, particularly when it comes to personnel choices.
In this interview, he says that Greg Jennings + our 2013 first round pick > Percy Harvin.
I am not distorting this at all.
Just totally insane. The idea that Jennings would give us anything in terms of versatility like Harvin does is crazy, and while Barnwell doesn't say this, my assumption is that he thinks Jennings on the outside and Tate inside would make more sense in terms of cost, ignoring that Tate is an outside player.
He also says that we could have gone OG, RT, or DE at #25, but we are DEEP at both OG and RT and there wasn't a pass-rusher at 25 worth taking.
Mays is as incredulous as I was about Barnwell's POV there. Anyway, food for thought if y'all are interested.
