So we all know that September 15th is the big "Clash of the Titans" game. It is also my wedding anniversary. SO...the wifey is open to going to the game for our anniversary, however tickets are WAY out of our budget right now. Alternative is to view the game at some local Seattle area establishment. Any suggestions on place worthy of an anniversary dinner that we can catch the game? (Unless someone just happens to have a couple spare tickets...PM please! ;) )

hang around the stadium and see what the tickets are going for, who knows u might get lucky. If you don't get tickets stop in to fx mccrorys and eat and watch the game there. If its too crowded, My favorite restaurant is the metropolitan grill, if you can't get into fx mcrorys head over to the met. The bar area has TVs Not the best place to watch a game but an amazing steak house

Walt is right, stand outside, you have a good chance of getting a couple tickets towards game time. If not, plenty of outstanding restaurants w/in a few blocks you can walk to.

I coach my daughter's soccer team.
Practice is Thursdays, 5pm to 6:30. Those little shits better understand just how much I love them, to be sweating with them when the game is starting . . .

(thank goodness for DVR!)

My cousin is getting married on September 15th, right around 5. And I'm in the wedding.

I'm not happy.

Who the hell gets married on a Sunday night? besides your cousin that is.

A Bed n breakfast would be cool as long as they had the game on in your guys' room..eh?

Why in the world would you want to be next to the stadium if you were not going?

There are hundreds of watering holes that will have the game on.

A nice hotel is a good idea. You could find one that has really nice room service and stay in, eat a candlelight dinner, and be able to watch the game (if she is still OK with doing that).

When do the niners come to town?
I suppose i should have been more clear, but with the title of the thread, I thought it was clear that the niner game was the one I was talkin about.

Edit: my bad . . for some reason I have had thursday stuck in my head for this game . . I will crawl back in my hole now

I think your only option is to go all out for breakfast or lunch and watch the game at home afterwards. I personally wouldn't be able to win by trying to mix the two.

No offense or anything, but right now fair market value is probably closer to the 300 dollar price range (it's not quite there since those tickets haven't sold, however). High demand + low supply = high price. I know it sounds callous to admit that, because it sounds like I'm advocating greed, but you'll be less disappointed if you realize you're really asking for is a generous soul to let you pay near what he/she paid in order to put a Seahawk fan in those seats.

I bet you have enough scratch for ONE ticket. You go to the same and skype with her. it'll be just like she's there! except... with a mute button. That would be perfect. Every wife should come with a mute button.

I think we could cure cancer, and end all wars and world hunger if this were so.

Or at the very least we'd be able to blow ourselves to bits without somebody behind us nagging our every move...
