Russell's one of the few QBs of the last decade that can handle a new system in his second year. Is it optimal? No. However, I'm not going to be crushed if Bevell leaves. I trust Papa Pete to find a better replacement.

Bevell should stay. He'll be an even hotter commodity next year when Seattle boasts the NFL's top offense. No reason for him to settle or panic.

Who wants to coach in Arizona right now? Talk about a nightmare. Beyond their roster problems, they play in the same division as the NFL's two most talented teams. The Rams are not to be trifled with either. As one person commented the other day in a Wilson ROY discussion: "I'm a Cardinals fan, and I am kind of freaking out right now."

Bevell was born in Yuma, Arizona and went to high school in Scottsdale, Arizona before going to Wisconsin for college. Going back home might appeal to him.

Somehow I think our coodinators will stay put. That said, I'd rather lose Bevell than Bradley. If you read the various articles out there, Bevell is highly sought, after in large part, because he's being credited with the rapid development of Russell Wilson......I think we all know that's somewhat misguided.

Russell will make any OC look awefully good. How many times did we see Russell make up his own play at game speed when the called play didn't work out? I will; however, credit Bevell with recognizing that he didn't need to keep chains and shackles on the guy.

Good luck to Bevell if he goes elsewhere, but he'd better hope he can team up with another QB of Favre or RW's caliber. He has been extremely lucky in that regard.

Agreed... no different than Bradley getting a lot of credit for Pete's D.

And how good would Seattle's D have been without all the talent that John Schneider brought in.

The "core of the core" of this team is Pete, John and Tom Cable.

I would love if he went to the Cards. I don't think he's fit to be a HC...I think Gus has HC written all over him, but certainly not Bevell.

If I were making decisions in AZ I would be going after Cable and Flynn. The biggest problem in AZ has been O-line and QB. Cable has successful coaching experience in the worst environment and developed a successful running game and offense with less than the best players.

Flynn would beat out Kolb and for reasonable money and Cable would have a starter that knows his offense and can utilize Fitzgerald and gets rid of the ball quickly while the O-line gets built. He would also have one of the leagues best back ups in Kolb.

Will you SHUSH? Geez, you sound like a closet Tard fan. We want to keep Cable and Flynn in Seattle. :141847_bnono:

Ahh.. Its okay, Russell Wilson can be his own coordinator.

Really though, if Bevell leaves. Who are the Hawks going to get to coordinate the offense?

Its hard to see Bevell pack up and head out after the hand he's been dealt here in Seattle. He has an extremely talented QB and a solid offense that's going to get even better after the ten picks in this year's draft plus the free agency market. However, the guy is from AZ, so I could see him wanting to head in that direction.

I wish Gruden was willing to be a coordinator. Especially since he has been a Russell Wilson supporter from day one. I think Gruden and Wilson would have such great chemistry. I would be the happiest fan alive if Gruden signed on as the Seahawks OC. Even though I know the chances of this happening are 1 and 1,000,000,000...

I'll give Arizona Flynn for Fitz and Dockett.

Could you imagine RW and Fitzgerald along with Rice, Tate, and Baldwin. That would be something special.

Do you honestly think the Bidwells would allow that much money to be tied up in the QB position for a couple of unproven guys? Kolb's deal plus Flynn's deal would be $30 million in the next two seasons at the QB position.

Uhhhh has an interview candidate ever met with media after just an interview before.

Two jobs I wouldnt take if I had a job, Arizona and Jacksonville ironically.

I think Horton earned a shot to be HC once all the big fish turned somewhere else.

Well if they have any common sense it wouldn't detract them. Flynn's contract is extremely friendly if he wins the starter role and only mildly high for a quality back up.

Your suggesting that because they wasted so much on Kolb that they are stuck in purgatory until his contract lives out. Now with the Bidwell's you are probably correct because they are notoriously bad or cheap but I didn't say I think the Bidwell's would do that. I said if I were making decisions there.

A smart F/O cuts ties if need be, like Seattle did with housh but I acknowledge the Bidwell's will never be accused of running a smart F/O.
