I see some talking about the best replacement player ever, How about the best free agent pickup ever?

There have been many through the years, getting Chad Brown was a good one and I know you all have your favorites.

Me? I think the best ever, who helped us over the top in 2005 getting to the super bowl had to be Joe Jurivicous. We can talk about receivers all you want but if I had my choice of all time receivers we've had I'd take him that season even over Largent.

You throw the ball to a crowd with JJ in it and he came down with the ball. You needed a big 3rd down reception? Throw it to JJ. You needed a downfield blocker to get your man extra yards or a TD? Run towards JJ.

Only had him for one year but what a year he had and what a year we had. And that was his last hooray. Went to Cleveland for less money the next year so he could go home. Got injured that season and never played again. But man was he something. Thanks JJ

I loved the JJ signing. He helped contribute plenty during that 05' season.

I know that seems a reach but were you around in 05 when JJ turned the world around in Seattle?

I'm not demeaning Steve Largent. But for one season JJ was about the best I ever saw.

Sidney Rice will end up being the best ever. Yes, those that remember I'm saying it. I think Percy will enable that to happen.

I'd also go with Chad Brown. He was on some pretty bad teams here and sometimes he was the only one even trying. The man was amazing.

Sorry my friend was there from the start.

And I qualified my JJ comments by saying for that one year Jurivicous was the best I ever saw and lots of people agreed.

For a career of course Steve Largent. But JJ played on the biggest stages of the game several times and for that year was truly awesome.

Oh and as far as attacking posters and not posts,,,I'm within a few weeks of being 70. Saw Vince Lombardi coach at Green Bay and Washington. So perhaps my opinion now and then is as good as yours?

There, I edited it. Does that meet with your approval?

He wasn't here very long but Julian Peterson had 3 outstanding seasons for us, maybe not the best ever but he definitely deserves a mention!

Joe Jurivicous ? Wow
He was a good football player, and his high point was probably that season. Fun to root for. But his carrer in general was a bit of a disappointment, as the Giants had high hopes for him coming out of Penn St.
- I just checked the stas, 55 catches, almost 700 yds w/ 10 TDs during that SB year.

Now, as a Seahawk fan, I have to say I'm a little upset to hear another Hawk fan, or ANY fan say he was better that year than any Largent season. JJ was Hass's 4th choice(behind Jackson,Engram, and even Stevens). Even if JJ had those numbers every season for 10 yrs, he doesnt make the Hall.
Largent was an absolute legend, EVERY SEASON. Doubled always, and some times tripled. His prime years were wasted on some bad teams. Zorn was exciting, but not a QB to help a WR pile up stats. I can't even pick one particular year over another, because he was ALWAYS consistantly great. The route running, the hands, the 2 big catches against the Dolphins in the 83 wild card game. The two top corners of his era, Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes, have often been qouted as saying Largent was the toughest cover in the NFL.

Anyways.... my choice is Chad Brown. We got 8 seasons out of him, and I think he made the Pro Bowl a couple of times. Not only was he a solid all-around LBer, but he was a great sideline leader. The only thing that could slow him down, was when that doofus Mili landed on his foot in practice and broke it.
