I know many won't want to hear this but I doubt teams line up for him. There seemed to be zero interest when he got fired here.

I dont think the game has passed Carroll by, it seems like the league is actually becoming more friendly to the types of teams Carroll likes rather than away from it. Just a prediction of mine but it does kind of seem like the NFL is just too much for this younger generation of QBs, this season is already favorable for the return of the feature running back.
Carroll has not had a defense in the top 10 since 2016, some of those years we had historically bad defenses, or rather were on track to be historically bad.

The other issue here is that one of the things driving the run game is defenses. They've gotten a lot more complex and they're doing a lot more deception at the LOS. Seattle for example hardly ever rushes more than 4, it's more of a question as to where the pressure is coming from.

This is where Carroll ran into some issues. His system has a simple approach. You get what we line up as, Carroll very much so had a keep it simple, stupid mentality. Said system can still work but it's expensive as hell and hard to find the right talent.

The new systems that are coming down the pike make playing QB a lot harder.

According to SI's Breer “I’m told that Pete has informed all of the teams with openings that he is looking to get back into coaching in 2025. " Where would be Pete's best-case scenario? From rocking chair to coaching in windy Chicago, could Pete find another coaching job? if so where?
Poles wants Flores, but Pete might get an interview.

Not a good fit if Pete wants total control. Jerry won't give that up. Jerry Jones is the complete opposite of the type of owner who Paul Allen was.
Jerry is a coach wrecker. I seriously hope one of the good young up and coming coaches don't go there to be sacrificed on the sacred altar of Jerruh's giant EGO.

I still will be surprised if he gets a job.

Our 2021 Defense was a top 10 defense or close to it. #10 in Points Given Up Per Drive, #11 in Opponent Scoring Rate.

We only looked bad in aggregate numbers because we were somewhat of a bend-but-don't-break defense (gave up lot of yards between the 20s, but we weren't terrible on 3rd down, were great when teams went for it on 4th, and great in the Red Zone) and our offense was super inefficient: We either got a Touchdown on some crazy deep shot or went three-and-out... either way, the other team was getting the ball back quick.

Of course, Carroll followed that up by trying to hop of that 'Fangio-style' defense train just as that defense was getting exposed and ended up fielding increasingly worse defenses. (Our defense in 2023 was the worst defense Carroll fielded as a Seahawks coach outside of his first season here.)

He will want more control than a FO is willing to give, considering how badly his coordinators performed here after the first few years.

Some news leaked that Pete went to interviews with a list of subordinates that he will bring with him, including one that would be his successor when he hangs up in couple of years.

Got to wonder about the names in that list.
