With the new cap numbers that is a steal going forward.

bahaha. What he said.Sarlacc83":f7vlwe0x said:Can't be true. I was told that he's 100% gone by this forum.
Of course it is we got what we wanted and Bennett got what he wanted (guaranteed money). It's a win win for both sides.vonstout":2uw87ytc said:It sounds good to have the contact front loaded, but it could mean it's only going to be a 2 or 3 year deal if he outplays the contract. Hope not,but that's today's NFL. Even if that happens, it's still great to have him back!

That's pretty close, and it's still both more than he can spend (unless he pulls a Michael Irvin and gets into the Peruvian Marching Powder) as well as 'generational' money. I hope he doesn't stop trying so hard now that he's been paid.
A random thought - wasn't Bennett the guy that said in a KIRO AM interview that he tried to get a table somewhere, failed, called back pretending to be Russell Wilson, and got the table? Maybe he called JS and pretended to be Wilson, and said he'd sign for 8.5/year.
