I think many of us older guys can identify with BB's groin injury. It wasn't just a tweak either- he was in serious pain. I say at least 4 weeks. I want him back for that SF game though. I think we can do fine until then but I don't know if Maxwell or a even Thurmond can bring the physicality needed against Boldin/Crabtree.

Sherman, in a post-game interview, made it sound like it wasn't too serious. Hopefully it isn't, but thankfully we have pretty good depth there.

He was wincing every step he was taking even after he undressed. If you've ever had a groin injury like that you know it can take a while. It's certainly not season ending but it'll be a while before we see him again..

Hard not to get a groin injury when you are continually giving it to the other team..

Thurmond is a starting quality cornerback in this league. So is Maxwell. Our castoff, Will Blackmon, is a quality NFL corner too, had a key play for the Jags today that wound up being the difference in the winless-no-longer Jaguars first win. Go Gus!
Thurmond gives us a better cover guy than Browner, but agreed with a little less physicality, and a little less run support. Overall, the defense is just about as good with Thurmond in there as Browner.
Don't get me wrong, I love Browner's game and what he brings, it's just that I love Thurmond's game too. It's like "Option A1, or option A2?" They are both awesome. Thurmond will be more effective against very quick receivers, while Browner will be more effective against very physical receivers.

We'll be OK. We've survived every game without him and he's missed 6 games since last December.

Did you see Cutler 3 weeks ago? He couldn't walk either and he was back sooner than anyone thought. Let's hope for the same

Terrible timing!! We're going to need him in a few weeks. Not that our others aren't fine, but we were already going to need them too.

Pocket passing QB =/= Corner

I think we did fine without Browner for the first SF game, but of course I'd like to see him back as well.

But did you see Cutler at the end of today's game? Not what we want from BB.

Yup. Cutler can sit there in the pocket all day. Browner needs to go stride for stride vs WRs

Probably get him back for the playoffs if it's as bad as it looked. If it's nothing big like Sherman said, then he'll probably miss a couple games and come back after the bye. We'll find out before the week is up in any case.

I really think it's gonna be about a month, which would put him in line to return for the SF game. Thurmond is solid, but right now he us our nickel corner. You throw him outside, then you're talking about Lane as our nickel, which I'm not to keen on. It's likely gonna be Maxwell on the outside and Thurmond at nickel until BBs return.

No Crabtree.

Crabtree is not going to fix that passing game. He will become Kaps first read And We will take that away and Kap will crumble
