What has happened to Chancellor? The Guy has missed more tackles this year then all of last. Usually when teams dink and dunk like the Chargers they pay the price. I think our coverage for the most part was outstanding but no receiver or back catches the ball over the middle because they are aware of what awaits. That was what was most evident watching the dvr recording of this game.

Looks like he's been trying to blow people up rather than wrap up and make the tackle (to me).

He sat out the off season workouts, practices, and most of the preseason while recovering from hip surgery. He needs to get himself ready to play, fast.

I think this was the most under reported story of the game and I am baffled.

Everyone was blaming Kam for all 3 of Gates' TD's, but one of those was on Malcom Smith.

I had forgotten about that but from what I saw in the Green Bay game there wasn't any lack of speed but poor tackling or like Laloosh mentions almost like tying to blow people up rather then tackle. Though it's possible the surgery is still affecting him a bit. It didn't help matters that Gates played out of his mind among other factors.

I was more concerned about his missed tackles and he was missing on the tackling front from what I could tell.

With the current CBA there is essentially no meaningful contact in practices.

Players are much more rusty when tackling as a result.

They are expected to get up to speed in the preseason games, and if they don't play in those, it makes it worse... even the guys who play all four preseason games look rusty when you get to game speed.

I think Kam will be fine but he does need time on the field to get back into game mode.

Bottom line.....many on this team are a bit "rusty". The team is not playing as hard as they did toward the end of last year. Let's see what happens this Sunday.

If the Hawks had won on Sunday I don't think you see these posts.

The heat slowed the entire defense and the stupid O game plan kept these guys on the field. I expect better performances ahead than what we saw in San Diego.
