Wilson might bounce back a bit in 2023, he has been humiliated enough in 2022 after all, and he might just be humble enough to be coachable.

But what about 2024?

Wilson was coachable for couple of years in 2012 and 2013, from there he reached his limit in learning humbly. His ego took over, which has no limits :)

Was he actually humiliated though or was he just annoyed that they didn't win? He has yet to show that he even understands that he played like shit, let alone was humiliated.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Russ weaves himself back into the top 10 QB conversation next year.

He can’t possibly get worse (or can he?)

I know it’s just a discussion topic but, I’m assuming none of you care how he performs (I sure don’t). He shitted the bed when we needed him to shit the bed.

Thanks Russ!

Super star players seldom made good coaches, often times their natural talent made things easy for them so they seldom had to struggle to learn or execute every aspect of the game. "Scrub" players on the other hand, must struggle to learn the game, over and over, and they are better teachers as they could understand why and what some players needed to learn.

Cases in point: Pete Carroll. Steve Kerr.

An obscure case: Al Attles, for a couple seasons of glory and a memorable, unconventional NBA title in 1975. Recall the night that Wilt Chamberlain and Al Attles combined for 117 points as the Warriors beat the Knicks 169-147? Yeah, me neither. It may have been the same night, though that Wilt went off for 100 points.

Steve Kerr was not a scrub. A scrub doesn't generally get a fifteen-year career. A scrub is generally not brought in at key moments in a championship run on one of the greatest teams in sports history. A scrub is generally not in the top 20 in the NBA in win shares for two seasons in his career. It's pretty damn hard for a scrub to win five championships. A scrub playing mostly in the 1990s (1989-2003) would not still hold the all-time best NBA career three-point percentage in 2023, with nobody really threatening it immediately, despite the "analytics revolution" having made three-pointers a much-bigger part of the NBA.

Kerr wasn't a scrub, but he definitely wasn't a star either, averaging just 17.8 minutes per game in the regular season and 15.6 minutes per game in the playoffs over his career. Kerr was a specialist, leading the NBA in three-point percentage twice and hitting 45.4% of his threes over his career, still an NBA record, even with how much more the league has come to value three-pointers in recent years. Steph Curry, to cite a well-known and considered-a-great-shooter example, has hit 42.75% of his threes so far. Steph Curry's also-famous-for-shooting teammate Klay Thompson is at 41.6% on threes for his career. The top active player is Steph Curry's brother Seth Curry, at 43.79%.

We will never know, right? Wilson care about his image, and being humiliated by online media should have needled him some?? Unless he conspired to get Hackett fired and Sean hired, he have to be a genius to pull that off.

Davis Webb can sleep comfortably every night knowing Wilson will said the nicest thing about him in his pressers.
Don't think so. He'll sleep with one eye open or will be backstabbed.
