Very, very well done. A lot of good information in there without it ever seeming like the reporter is (overly) fawning over our QB.

So much respect for the kid, to not love him would be inconceivable!

After an exhibition game at Kansas City last year, the Seahawks returned to the team’s facility in Renton in the early morning. While most players quickly headed for their cars, Wilson studied film for a couple hours as the equipment staff toiled away.

It was the K.C. game last preseason when I saw what our future was going to be like with him as our QB. It was then, I became a BIG fan.

Just realized reading the article that Wilson reminds me of Ender from Ender's Game. Undersized but carrying the "it" or charm that's hard to identify. Also, always thinking of ways to overcome any obstacle or how to best manage any situation. That might be off putting (the overly calculating bit), but the charm/leadership washes it away.

That was an awesome article. Wilson is the Seahawks Ken Griffey Jr.

It was good, I worry about the last sentence, "The need to tear one down" Griffey, Randy Johnson, Arod, all were targets of both sides. The exception I think was Gary Payton, We have seen how fast our fans with Jake Locker, TJack, Matt Hasselbeck and others will throw accolades while lighting a fuse to blow them up if they have a reason to doubt. I think Wilson could handle all that, but that will be the true test of this young man.

Ichiro is also one of the better examples of a guy that the fanbase turned on rather abrupty and, IMO, pretty unfairly.

Gus Williams got "the treatment" as well. It was pretty pathetic. He ultimately got his contract after holding out for a year and telling Lenny where to stick it (and he was RIGHT), but fans booed him like crazy. He ended up playing for the Bullets, who were the biggest enemy we had at the time. It was obvious what Lenny was doing when he traded Gus to Washington and DJ to Phoenix. Lenny is still held up as a God in the Northwest it seems, but he was kind of a d-bag when it was all said and done.
