It was really cool and will likely be used extensively from here on out. It reminds me of going from 30fps to 60fps with my small cameras I use for flying my models.

Is it anything more than a higher frame rate? Lol. It's about freaking time this happens, I've been PC gaming at 120 FPS & 120Hz for nearly a decade.
