I kind of enjoyed having Blythe out there. I didn't think he was an All Pro or anything like that, but I did like him. With his impending free agency, I thought we might end up replacing him anyway, so I don't see this as a huge deal, as it's likely something the front office was already working on. It will be interesting to see what direction they take. We know they went really young for our tackles and they re-signed Haynes already, so they may be thinking about someone in the draft, but it would be nice to get someone with some real experience and talent to sign with us.

If by repeatedly do you mean there were times he got beat and those times were more than one, then yes, I saw him and every other lineman on our team get beat multiple times. Not every offensive lineman is Walter Jones. Not Every Offensive lineman is one fo the best in the league. There are 32 starting Centers in the league (not including special teams snappers) and many more when you include backups. Blythe wasn't an All-Pro, but he was a solid contributor to an offense that played well above people's expectations.

Please draft the nastiest MF at center you can find. I don’t care about his 3-cone or his 40 or if he is 6’7”. Is he willing to break fingers on any and all defensive lineman? If he is go get him in the draft.

, a bit of a surprise. I don’t think anyone would’ve been surprised if they took a center high in the draft. I would have preferred him to wait until after the draft to announce it publicly. Cats out of the bag now…
