Wow. did they end up with and easy schedule.
They played a whopping 2 teams with a winning record.
Denver in week 2, and Washington in week 5.
October 7th is a long, long time ago. (I'm not going to get into what WAS looked like in week 5 either)

I'm just saying that there are a whole lot of incomplete teams that they have faced in the past 2 months.

And they were lucky enough to play both Denver and Washington before they hit their stride.

They gave up 30 points to Carolina who runs the read option like we do except not as good.

Im pretty sure Washington would put up 30 points against Atlanta if they played them in the 2nd half of the season after they got hot.

Somewhere a million years ago or so, we had a thread about the remaining undefeated teams this season. (So long ago, I think the Cards were still undefeated at the time. Yeah, that long ago.) I put them down for 14-2 even back then. So yeah, they've had it easy and that's been pretty evident for a while.

Doesn't mean they're not good though -- the beloved '05 Hawks had it fairly easy as I recall and they were a damn good team too. Falcons will have a big chip on their shoulder next week.

They drew the AFC worst and NFC Least, which are shit divisions and live in the NFC south, which is a shit division. You'd have to be some kind of moron to not come out of that with at least 12 wins. Hawks are battle hardened at this point. We're going to punch them straight in the mouth, steal their lunch AND their girlfriend then have our way with both in the back of their car after we take that from them too.

The Giants game was by far their most impressive win. The Raiders game was surprising at home- also the Cards game...

They can't stop the run very well and Ryan struggles against top D's.

And we had an easy schedule in 2005 as well and went 13-3. Don't put too much into the schedule.

I've looked hard at that team and the Falcons are a bit of an enigma. Unlike the Skins, who showed a clear patter when facing great defenses (enough of a pattern I called that the skins would score between 13-16 points against us), the Falcons seem to have no ryhyme nor reason to how they perform. They might be held to a relatively low score vs a crap defense, then run up the score vs a top 10 defense. They might allow a crap offense to rack up 30 points one week, then shut down a very good offense the next.

This is what I see when I look at the Falcons: Not a powerful rushing team at all. We should hold their ground game in check easily. This team is all about the pass. They have the top WR tandem in the NFL - White and Jones. then they have Gonzalez and a bunch of other really good threats. But here's the thing: Ryan only threw for 6 more TD's than Wilson though he threw for FAR more yards. and Ryan threw 14 INTs. So they have a less efficient passing attack than we do, they just have more weapons and will get their yards.

If the Hawks blitz they can get Ryan to make mistakes.

Defensively, they're a fair team. But they have no really threatening pass rush. The fact they fail to stop the run, yet every game is basically a shoot out, means they REALLY can't stop the run. So we should dominate them in that department.

I see Sherman getting a pick this game, RG3 was scared to throw too his side of the field and I think Ryan has the balls/stupidity to test him.

Seahawks will be the best team Atlanta has faced all season (early Denver doesn't count).

Can I watch you get banned from a Falcons forum for calling someone's mother the town pump? Just a request. Let us know if you're going to do it, and where. Last time you did that...Talk about good times.
