At what cost do you keep Sidney Rice?

Rice will have every opportunity to make the team if he's healthy. I don't see any way they cut Kearse unless he comes into camp fat and unproductive or something. The fact that people are even talking about Kearse getting cut after such a great year is mind boggling to me (and he comes cheap!).

I don't think that Rice is washed up. In fact I believe he could be important situationaly. We need him in short yardage passing situations. The problem with keeping Rice though is similar to Harvin. There is a high probability of missing time at some part of the season. We have to be able to account for that with our rostering. We already have to keep 6 so that we can field five wide if one of these guys go down during a game. Its going to be difficult to stash players on the practice squad this time because there are so many teams that lack receivers. The Browns and Panthers would take every one of these guys.
We also have t field coverage teams. As others have stated that helps Rocket. Hopefully Norwood can fill this need. I don't see any of the other guys gunning at all.
