Hell of a good start. Bats are coming around. Nice to see Cal and Naylor rockin it tonight. Julio with a nice 18 game on base streak.

Bad way to start the series. :(

Bats good for two innings, then went to sleep. Got a little going bottom 9, but too little, too late. Bullpen gave up the lead.

Good to see Naylor get multiple hits in the game. Cal with the 1st inning jack, but not much else.

Damn :(
Why in the world does Dan keep pulling Raley? Unreal. It sure was great to have him available in the 8th inning, against a RH pitcher, with 2 on..............oh wait. Raley not available. AGAIN.

Grrrrr and stuff.

Bullpen has become a major concern. Too many guys go out there and flat out can’t execute

It truly is. FFS has been my go-to...........several times this year. Can they turn it around, absolutely. But it's still fricken maddening.

IMG 3766We bought a new puppy a few weeks ago, her name is Zeena. Miniature Schnauzer. She’s hell on wheels, but one of the few things that calm her down is watching the Mariners while on my lap.

Which means I have to sit still and endure this crap team silently so I don’t disturb her. It’s a high form of torture.

Raley has been our best hitter so far this season by many metrics including BA, OPS, HR's, RBI's, and total bases. Unfortunately, opposing managers know they can get Raley out of the game anytime they want. If they put in a lefty, Dan will pull our current best hitter and put in one of our worst hitters in either Refsnyder or Joe. This means that Raley is often getting only 2 AB's when he starts because as soon as he comes up for the 3rd time (usually in the 5th or 6th inning), the opposing manager just puts in a lefty and poof, Raley is out for the rest of the game. The fact that the next 3 guys in the lineup are lefties as well make it an even easier move for opposing managers. Basically, it's such an easy, obvious move that it would be dumb not to do it.

It's become a situation where opposing managers can essentially dictate our moves whenever they want. Basically all they have to say is "Hey Dan, I want you to take out your best, most dangerous hitter and replace him with one of your worst hitters", and Dan will promptly do exactly that. It's just incredibly problematic to be this easy to manipulate and this predictable.

I hope Cal calls this Raley thing out publicly. Managers can't learn that they can knock our best homer artist out of the lineup just by tossing in a random lefty.

They already know. It's been happening with remarkable consistency since Raley got off to a hot start the 1st week of the season. It's also really obvious that it's an intentional move to get Raley out of the game because of how often the other team puts in a lefty reliever right before his 3rd AB of the game... and then Dan pulls him for Refsnyder or Joe literally every single time.

Maybe change it to Wilson-ing

M's behind again to an average team at best, with a below average starter who is so horrendous he cant pitch from any type of windup with nobody on base
