I'm addicted as Kurt Cobain is to the power of Love... J/K.

Its definitely like a bad marriage around here at times but the sex is so damn good that its worth it.

Severely. I don't think any of the answers is strong enough to define me.

This place is an extension of the team I have obsessed over for my entire life.
This place is an extension of my identity as a fan and as a person.

As such I would say yes. No question.

I would say I am a recovering .NET addict. I hate myself sometimes for not being able to stay away. I think I have it under control but I look up and I am on the .NET homepage.

I do like the articles and videos that members find and post.

I've been lurking since the days where TABS was a regular. I suck at posting but I always need a hawk fix. Love .NET!

It's in my rotation, for sure, amongst the other sites I'm addicted to. There's a couple guitar sites, a couple Husky sites and a couple Seahawks sits. I just rotate through and get frustrated when ya'll aren't adding any new content for me to view.

I was able to drop tobacco and hard alcohol cold turkey after 17+ years of both, never looking back. This place, not so much.

Thing is, this is a healthy addiction. (Mostly.)

I credit this message board with teaching me more about the game and the Seahawks specifically. In fact, I was going to make a new thread saying so before the TNF game but I was too busy. I wanted to say that the entire range of emotions and input of this community (from the frustrated venting to the big picture rationalism and everything in between) really helped something 'click' for me. Specifically, I was dealing with the emotional weight usually associated with a loss even after we won (Titans game).

I watch every press conference and interview with PC, RW, RS, etc., so it's nothing new. They say it over and over. It's been staring me in the face ever since Pete got here, and it slapped me upside the head when Russell took over the Bears game last year. I should never doubt this team and never forget that we will win many, many games in the 4th quarter. But, as much as I thought I was above it, the offseason furor and buildup of hype got to me. I had developed subconscious expectations that our team was going to show up this season looking like the Patriots of the early 2000's or the Niners of the '80s. I had subconsciously replaced the identity of our current Seahawks with a completely different, vaguely nostalgic, cookie-cutter "championship team" identity. Typing that out it sounds ludicrous.

But it was only with the help of .NET that I reflected on my own anxiety and remembered to have a great time with this season. "Every week is a championship week" is a FUN thing, not a STRESSFUL thing. We are a grind-it-out, play fast, play smart, wear-them-down, make-the-big-play football team. I knew it last year, but recently I forgot. That mental lapse led to way too many game-watching freak-outs. And not the good kind.

So I keep coming back here (never really leave), I can't stay away, but it's because of all of you. Just like at the stadium on game day, we are greater than a sum of individuals. I'm addicted to The 12th Man's synergy and ultimate use of power for good.

I want to specifically give thanks to Ad Hawk and Aros, whose insights and levelheadedness really rang true recently. All of you contributed, I can't name everyone, but Scottemojo, Dr. Diags, Hawkscanner, FlyingGreg, and Kearly have also been reliably solid. Tical gets a big shout out for the defensive X's and O's he's brought to the board. All you guys, and so many more I can't name off the top of my head, make us smarter and inspire us to be better fans. Even the ones who just vented their frustrations helped me identify the source of my own. I covet the discussion and marketplace of ideas that is .NET!

We are 12! We are doing it better than it's ever been done! We are proud, and deservedly so.

Addicted? Yes, also that.

Pumped & Jacked,
HATC

There are very very few things that will ever stand between me and watching a hawks game. Sometimes that means I have to "go dark" on electronics to avoid the score and watch on DVR later. My current streak without missing a game goes back to the Whitehurst Rams game. Missed the one right before that a haven't missed one since, including preseason.

As for .net, I have spurts where I am on here a lot and others where I'm not. But I know whenever I come here after a game ill find intelligent in-depth discussion. It's fun to watch a game and take notes about what I thought and compare that to the general .net feeling.

I wish I had the time to be addicted and do the write-ups I would like to do. Someday I will be an addict, for now just a social binge abuser.

I just post here to relax after work, I can stop anytime I want!

Well, I also use if I got a hot date, to loosen up and get in the mood.

*looks suspiciously at the forum*

This isn't one o' them intervention things again is it?

We both find ourselves on here at multiple different times. I tell him what I have read and he tells me about the ones he sees. Of course that is if we haven't both looked at the same thing.

I voted the morning to night one.

I'm a single dude. No kids, no responsibility. So if i'm at home, i'm logged in here.

I come for the laughs and the fun. Rarely pay attention to all of the analysis and seriousness.

I keep .Net on in the background everyday and stop in all the time. I would say I have a healthy addiction to it. I am most definitely addicted to my beloved Hawks and have been since day one good or bad.

Yup. Completely. Even at work I have to check up on it. I'll sit here and hit refresh sometimes.
