I don't blame Dippoto like I do Stanton. Dippoto's hands were tied as far as spending goes. He made some crap trades but made some good trades too. They are clearly headed in the right direction. Firing Scott and installing Dan has been a brilliant move.

What are Dipoto’s good trades? Louis Castillo yep. Randy? Luke Raley? Who else is left that he traded for? And Robles was luck to sign him. Maybe trading away Cano? But there’s nothing left from that. The worst part are the heart wrenching trades that yielded…. Oooovhh wait for it,
Diego Castillo and Abraham toro….i guess he has pulled some relievers outa thin air and flipped em but I don’t like what he’s flipped them for.
I won’t forget how he traded Graveman and then said there’s another move coming that would make it make sense and we’d feel better… Diego Castillo

I mean, it's the coaching that's going to decide how far this year's roster goes. Not Stanton or Dipoto.

And if they go deep into the playoffs, frankly, Stanton and Dipoto are going to be vindicated.
They won’t be vindicated in my eyes. Dan changed this not Jerry or Stanton. And cal Raleigh and Polanco are the reason. I’m kinda torn on Jerry it’s like he finally got out of the way or something and that’s not a great strategy
And honestly I’m still waiting to see what Jerry does at the deadline, or even after the season I don’t trust him not to jack this up with his shots in the dark

I used to be on board with the excuse that Dipoto's hands were tied in regards to being allowed to spend money on free agents. Then he spent $46 million on Garver, Haniger, Polanco, and Urias before last season while also getting rid of Teo, Geno, and Kelenic. The M's offense was one of the worst in baseball last year as a direct result of the moves Jerry made when he was allowed to spend on free agents.

They literally had the best starting rotation in baseball, and still managed to miss the playoffs. Why? Because Dipoto spent $46 million on 4 guys that basically tanked the offense. I still find it pretty shocking that a GM can botch an off season as badly as Dipoto did and somehow still manage to somehow keep their job.

Dipotos hands were tied cause all his money was spent already on said four guys

Dipoto is the one that spent that money on those 4 guys. He had $46 million to work with and he somehow managed to make the team worse. That's quite the spectacular face plant.
