I don’t actually know if they are good or bad.

I’m an NL guy.
Manfred destroyed the AL/NL difference. They're basically the same league now.

The Ms hitting philosophy is different. Way different. It's centered on reading the pitcher and not swinging like a schizo pre determined game plan. Baseball is 85% mental/feel. It's an old school approach I doubt they're deep into analytics this is simply good baseball we're seeing.

Which is why they should be WS favorites

Not close to the best, but they're still pretty good. And a lot better than many of us expected. Just enjoying the ride.
I'll let the doom and gloomers hate the ride.

Actually, I think they have the 2d best record over the last 15-20 days. Get back to me in Jul/Aug on this question. :)

Their record since getting swept (and they really could have won 2 of 3) out at San Fran has been insane.

Couldn't care less how it looks, just keep stacking up series wins. It adds up. And you're not digging a hole in April that haunts you in September.

Now that we have some offense the Pitching could be a problem with the injuries. Time will tell. I am enjoying the hell out of it right now!

This mariners team is winning a lot and in different ways from different people. They actually have a positive run differential and their pitching is not at its best yet. This type of winning seams more sustainable than anything I’ve seen from this team in awhile. I actually expect them to win every night. I don’t know if they’re the best in baseball cause that makes no sense but they are playing as good as anyone and no one is really playing better than I expect except polo. I think we make a run at it this year. My question is what do we end up doing by the trade deadline? Who will be the casualty this year. I’m thinking Trent Thornton and I won’t be as mad as the last few deadline trades

Currently, third overall in the AL but there have yet to be a separated yet cause it’s April.

June, has been the Achilles heel for the Mariners.

Ask again in July and we will know just how good the Mariners truly are.

In their last 17, the Mariners are 13-4, and 16-12 overall and in first place. What's not to like?

When the season started, I think we all thought, "Oh no, here we go again," but Dan Wilson quickly turned the ship around.

They've been good despite being without George Kirby and Matt Brash. They have also been winning despite being without Victor Robles and Julio batting .196.

They are third in the AL in scoring, second in HRs and second in OPS. So it's not just pitching that's keeping them afloat.

Gotta keep the pitchers coming. You never know when an arm is gonna go. It’s like a dang flat tire…. Better have a spare…. I think we have some spares. Emerson might just be turning the corner and Logan the second seems like he’s just getting warmed up plus we got that two armed pitcher. Two armed pitchers are rare…. Almost as rare as one armed pitchers like Jim abbott

While I am happy we are winning and in 1st, albeit April. We are currently above the 54% mark so eventually we must start losing to hit that mark.
