Your comments throughout this thread point to a serious case of PDS. It's not enough to win a Super Bowl, your Pete Derangement Syndrome leaves you needing to keep bringing up a coach that you so obviously dislike. Maybe you can't let go of that Marshawn Lynch play, maybe you just can't enjoy a great season, maybe you're just a hater. What's next? Bringing up how Russ can't play QB bc he's too short? Give it a rest bud. The only conspicuous silence we need now is from you.
Chill out. Just because you don’t like what’s being posted doesn’t mean you have to read it, or even respond to it. Okay Karen?

Pete was big on staying away from the team and letting Mac do things his own way, only offering a few comments about leadership when asked.

Pete's own philosophy isn't about doing things his way - it's about coaches and individuals learning what makes them tick and always being authentic to themselves.

I don't think he wants to be in the spotlight. I wouldn't expect much in terms of him inserting himself into current or future Seahawks matters and would expect any congratulations he offers to be private.

Overreact much? I'm not bashing Pete, in fact I can't wait for his ROH induction and statue outside the stadium. Simple observations regarding his conspicuous silence after LX and what it may mean are a far cry from hate. Get a grip, hot rod.
Some of us can tell the difference between a simple observation and a passive-aggressive potshot.

The funny thing regarding Seattle's roller-coaster draft performance through the years is that it makes criticism of Pete Carroll tough to nail down. For a long stretch the quality was down, and then we got the eye-popping 2022-2023 drafts. If he wasn't running the show and deciding the draft picks, like some people believe, then the long drought wasn't his fault (and the one who did, just won another Super Bowl with us). If he was, like many others believe, then we have to credit him for Spoon, JSN, Cross, Walker, Hall, and Charbonnet.

So either way, frankly, the insistence on subtly bringing the matter up two years after he left the team, for seemingly no reason, doesn't really seem merited.

Has anyone heard if Pete Carroll commented/congratulated publicly on the team winning LX? I did a quick search and didn't see anything on his social media. He obviously doesn't have to comment on it and we all know he wasn't thrilled about being shown the door, but considering what a positive and magnanimous person he is I kind of expected something. Maybe he's a little saltier than his farewell speech came off.
It's a fair question. Pete's always been very gregarious, and it's strange not to hear him at least give a simple congratulations to the team in general. But I wouldn't assign any intentional slight to it. It could be just an honest oversight, that it never occurred to him.

I'd have to know a little more about his behavior on social media before drawing any conclusions or assign a motivation. Does he post often? In past years, did he publicly congratulate other SB winning teams/coaches? If the answer to those two questions is yes, then perhaps it was a case of sour grapes. If the answer is no, I wouldn't think anything of it.

Well it makes sense given that the team that fired him won the Superbowl two years later. This also in the same year he was hoping to make a spectacular return to the nfl, but failed miserably and got fired instead. Then he got replaced by our OC. He is actually doing the best thing by staying out of the spot light.

It's only a matter of time before Pete is in the Seahawks ring of honor. I think he'll eventually get into the HOF too. Can't wait to see him raise the 12 flag someday.

Pete talks a lot when the cameras are on him, but he has basically no social media presence. I'd bet anything he was one of the first to contact John after the game ended.

Jim Mora Jr. pocket checked TJ Whosyomama (championship) and kept his watch because he didn't know what to say
